I have a Question :

We have so many members in the forum and many have sent their applications on/before July 8th. While some have had their CC's debited, others who have also asked for payment via CC have not had their CC's debited.

Why?

Most of the applicants seem to be confident that they have sent their documentation in full.

Are some of the applications not accepted or rejected outright?
Why are other applications received between 4th July and 8th July - with CC payment - not charged as others?

Can someone please advise?

Using CC payment is always risky, last year there were so many people who used CC mode of payment and their payment could not made as it was declined by their bankers as it was an international payment in cad dollars , may be this is one of the reasons...
I am not sure , there might be another reason ...

Thanks Jasraj,

But my Q was that

There are other applicants during this period (4th - 8th July) who has chosen payment method as CC.
But their CC's have not been debited yet while we have confirmations of others being debited.
And these applicants have also submitted full documentation.

Why have their CC's not debited yet?

Once you've made it into the cap period, the only two reasons why there has been no cc charge is either because:

1. Something is wrong with the documentation.. Even a missing blank/ signature..
2. Or your credit card could not be charged as Jasraj mentioned.

In our case, our online credit card statement still doesn't show the charge... We called our bank and checked.. And they confirmed the charge.. They said it will take a couple of days to reflect online..

Thanks @ SmGrGe - I understand the logic now - and Jasraj's answer too (Thanks Jasraj)

So this means - You could be in the cap and because the docs have a small error or the cc does not get charged, your application is cancelled/rejected.... just like that..

So actually the increments being shown as 28-35 average over all these days - but these could be of a few applications being rejected during the check eg. 4-5 a day, and the additions actually could be 32-40 bringing the actual additions to the total to just 28-35 average as we have seen.

hmmmm.....

Just hoping and praying that CIC goes beyond 14th July ..... the date my application was delivered.

all applications received would be scrutinized and if they find errors that warrant whatever, my best guess is that such files was set aside be it 4th-8th july, doesnt mean that those application received those days would be charged.different factors may cause it and i knw that they treat files like assembly line, once there's issue with one,it would be put aside for whtevr reason but that doesnt mean that the line would stop.

they can !!!
bank park this money in their NOSTRO accounts and it is only their foreign trade head office who can check the NOSTRO account and can confirm about the BD encashment. your local bank can give mail to them to ask if this particular no. of BD is encashed or not .
all this depends upon the dealing person of your bank, if he/she is good then you can definitely get info. in 3-4 days
