Hi Alain,

Yeah.. its great that the 1122 folks, and fsw applicants in general are like one big family.. thanks to all of you guys.. :)

I share your view that we might be on a difficult road ahead once in canada.. ive red several articles that paint a bleak outlook for canadian immigrants..but hey, whats life without a challenge :D .. personally, im feeling a mix of slight worry and more than a fair bit of excitement.. i dont know anyone there, dont have any network.. so i expect it to be really difficult.. the irony is, i see it more like as (you may say naively) going through an adventure with only your wit and faith in Gods providence.. ;D

Yes, lets all keep in touch and mind each other's back.. we need every help we can get :)

And as a note, this thread is red hot! .. checked it last night, and my post was already down several pages..haha :)

Hi Westpoint,

Thank you for your good message on the PPR.. I do hope that we get soon and that everyone here eventually gets it..

I sincerely hope that we may share someday the same good story and experience like you relatives have had.. Their story just proves that even though it is difficult, it is not impossible..

Hi Lucky mystery,

Nice to meet you and thanks for the warm welcome.. I will do try to be as active as i can.. :) ..

Cheers to all!

Let's help each other out. Let's capitalize on our own individual networks and build a bigger network out of them. To those who have no real network to begin with, this forum is our start.

I was hoping I could work on getting a role in some of the Canadian accounts that I worked on in the past (Bell Canada, Bombardier). I just read my employment contract and it specifically prohibits me from doing that. Oh well. This may be my chance to start on a new career path. It's not going to be that bad. :D

I sure am getting way ahead of story. haha. I am not even sure if I'll make it to Canada. The DMP says he'll send out my med results to the embassy today or tomorrow. My PR app may be approved or denied depending on the embassy's own appreciation of the results. If you guys are a prayerful bunch, please stop right now and spend a sec asking God to make my PR a reality soon (in the next 8 weeks....ok, ok, 12 weeks isn't bad either) I'll do the same for you.

Merry Christmas everyone.

A side note:

Dear Santa, please bring back RKC and Your Highness. They have been missing (in hiding?) since last week.

Congratulations to everyone who received positive updates on their applications:)

There's no new update from my side..waiting for MR...very slim chance of receiving it this year with Christmas round the corner...hoping VO officers comeback rejuvenated & pick up pace next year.

@ alain...have your medical reports reached CEM? hope your PPR comes quickly and by email ....sparing you any postal delays

@ westpoint .....It's time...waiting to hear about your PER. Good Luck buddy.

@ NKKD...you are doing a great job...keep up the good work.

@ YH....you have taken off for your year end vacation...looks like.

@ Big O...please come back..we miss you.

@ SmGrGe....I'm surprised you haven't received your MR yet...it should be in transit...can't they send it by email.

Faith makes all things possible,
Hope makes all things work,
Love makes all things beautiful,
May you have all the three for this Christmas.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! TO ONE & ALL

WOW! RKC is back. Does this mean things get done faster if I pray to Santa ?

RKC, the DMP has not even sent it out. They will do the sending in batches. I think I'll be in tomorrow's batch.

A bit of good news for me, I am told PPRs are sent out via email. Hurray. Philpost, in the spirit of Christmas, I forgive you. Please do not do delay again, not for me, or anyone.

I sent the manager's check yesterday. I delayed it for a bit because I was not sure if I had to fill out an RPRF form (of some kind) and attach it to the check. I got good advice from Zelda. I just printed my name, application number, UCI number, and other details on a clean sheet, and then attached the check and a copy of the MR-RPRF cover letter, and sent the thing away. I am in a province outside of Manila for the holidays so I had to send the check via courier to the embassy.

Dear alain.....Santa heard what you just said...now quickly wish for an early wrap up of PR for yourself....hehehe....YH should soon make an appearance too...looks like she's still reeling under the fact that she could beat the cap...I can understand, her PER party will continue into new years.

Yeah. I was beginning to get worried about the two of you. Don't worry RKC, isn't it that NDVO sends out the MR and PPR all at one time? You'll be in Canada even before I can learn to spell S-A-S-K-A-T-C-H-E-W-A-N.

Santa is good. I think maybe he should give me an SUV/CUV, too. I cannot afford one.

New models coming out for the ff in 2012: RAV4, BMW X3, Tucson, CRV. Santa, get a clue.

hahaha ;D

Just monkeying around.

RKC, no sign of MR as yet.... I remember my PER was also amongst the longest wait at that point.. 91 days... Surely it'll come by.... Just being calm and patient... And hoping in the Lord alone.. In His time... God bless to you too!!

I think the details you provided are more than enough, the cover letter did not mention form to be filled-up. Call the bank manager after 1 week and ask if the check is already negotiated. Manila VO is fast in cashing MCs

Alright I'll do that. Thanks for the advice. Maligayang pasko.
