usually result is announced after 12 days
u can check on BRITISH COUNCIL WEBSITE

I sent an email to this address "CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca" on November-09-11 and they replied me on November-28-11 with:
Dear Sir/Madam:
Your application # is E0000*****. It is currently awaiting review by an officer. Notification will be sent in due course.
Thank you.

With this file number I can check my ECAS! and my status is "In Process" and when I click it, shows "We received your application for permanent residence on August 26, 2011. "
But no PER mail till now! I am awaiting for it.

this is strange. the ecas is just like regular PER applicants. mayb u lost the mail in junk folder or somethin like tht. i wish u best of luck.

its not unique , same cases are present , after fee cashed file is developed , but his review is delay

you can check your results online. with whom you took your test? with british council or IDP and where?

Don't worry prapp , you & YH should be in, if we take into account the current trend & average time (80 days) for any application to get charged. Keeping checking your BD status.

Yes there is.
When file is received by CIO it is opened and date is stamped on the front page of the IMM008 form on the very same day.
So it is clear they open the package when it is delivered to them but they do not process it.
Processing is done date wise.

So when CIO sees that the received file if of PhD category they process it bypassing the fsw1 applicants..........
