I think, this information is about Canadian Experience Class. New Ph.D category is under federal skilled worker class.

Whoa! That's a bad news then. Her consultancy agency was the one who sent all her documents last week of july. Initially, they instructed her to wait for about 2 months before receiving PER but it has already been 4 months now and still she's yet to hear anything from the CIO. Given that the CAP was reached by the time they sent her application, She could probably be waiting for nothing and not know about it. I already informed her about it and her anxiety rise through the roof. She'll verify it with her agency tomorrow. Anyway, thanks so much for the info Your Highness. I appreciate it! +1! cheers! ;D

Gosh....I really...truly...hope and wish that I am wrong and her agency is right. I hope by some chance that she rcvs her PER!
PER as per data on the Spread Sheet has been coming in an average of 90 days (+ or - a few days). You may look up the spreadsheet on NKKD's signature or Big O's side profile.

include the results of your official language proficiency test, AND
1)have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
2)have one year of continuous full-time paid work experience in at least one of the occupations listed here OR
3)be an international student enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet certain criteria.

All these categories under skilled workers and professionals. And should send their application package to CIO.There is new document checklist 5612 including Ph.D students column in it. Please provide me with the link, so that it can clarify my doubt.

After taking into consideration the work experience supporting documentation on file, I am not satisfied that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the position as described in NOC. As such, I am not satisfied that you are a 7216 – Contractor and Supervisor, Mechanic Trade.

Since you did not provide evidence that you have an Arranged Employment Offer, you do not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing.

Hello vumax, sorry for your NER. I'm a 7216 applicant too and I'm just curious in what work experience (category) listed in the NOC under 7216 you have? Do you have any clue what are reasons maybe written in your job description that may be questioned by CIO?

what is the difference between MI2 and MI3 ?

Pratik...MI2 is last year's applicants...July 2010 to June 2011 and MI3 (us) July 2011 to June 2012.

Final determination of eligibility is PER, after which your application is sent to respective VO (visa office) for background check...medicals etc. Eligibility review is the same as PER.
