AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt by CIC.
PER - Positive Eligibility Review
NER - Negative Eligibility Review

AOR and PER have been clubbed these days. So basically now AOR and PER is one and the same thing.

Trust this clarifies your doubt.

Good luck.

guys,

anyone who had their application received aug 30 got the confirmation already?

If all my docs are okay, should i be receiving a PER (i am not sure what to expect from the CIO) via email or what?

What is AOR? i have lots of acronyms that I need to familiarize myself with...

Thanks...

Yes. CIC will send PER by mail, if you have provided your mail ID. So keep checking your inbox as well as SPAM mails. Sometimes it may just goes and sits there, while you tear your hair apart ;-)

TIPS TO GET THE PR FASTER
( After RBVO MI3 WITH IN 2 - 4 MONTHS )
1. VO SENDS A VERIFICATION REQUEST TO UR UNIVERSITY / BOARD and most of the universities mainly Indian Uni. takes too much time to reply back.
** be in touch with ur uni.
If u can contect the uni.
Clerk or some one else to reply faster thr courior (money works) it will reduce the process time to minimum 1 month.
2.VO MAY CONTECT ( CALL OR VISIT) YR EMPLOYER
**Be in touch with ur past and current employer and keep on reminding them.
Dont give them (VO) any chance to verify about yr employement hisory in detail or to visit yr office or may invite you for an interview.
They will only do it if they are not setisfied with yr exp.letters or with the call to yr employer.
It will save more then 2 months.
3. Do yr medicals and send PPRF/ RF , With in 7 days after recieving.
** Request yr DMP to send it with in 2-3 days ,make some good stories and a polite talk with the pathologist usualy works.
It will save more then 25-40 days.
********
If every thing goes fine and if u dont have any criminal or medical history you can expect yr ****PR WITH IN 60 to 120 DAYS i.e 2 to 4 months after IN PROCESS**

Congrats Mang, really happy for u, and thanks a ton this is valuable info :)

my dear if one door is closed , 10 doors are opened , if you dont fall in cap this year , you can apply next year , your application and other documents are complete , so you can resend your application on 1st of july 2012 , a no of applicants are here whose applications did not fall in cap last year , they resend it this year and fall in cap , i know a no of applicants who are waiting since ten years , we have to wait only 7 months to reapply. Finnaly i advise you dont concentrate only on immigration, a no of other opportunities are present in your own country, avail these opportunities. thanks

Thanks Farukh for your encouragement. Appreciate it. I know what you mean, but then once you have your mind set on something, its very difficult to shake it off. But I guess time has come to shake it off, and face reality.

Will the reference letters be valid for next year? I mean do I have to take fresh reference letters as the dates on the letter would be this year's dates. Please do guide me on this.

Personally, I think that the interviews will be held to determine the authenticity of the applicant's information.

With a 1122, they will be looking at the communication skills, command over the language, knowledge about their own profession and prospects for the same in Canada. This is one way of restricting fraud applicants.

Thank you so much for this very informative and helpful post..Thank you!this one could help!! :)

I don't have a clue your highness. Do you have an idea as to why this delay?
