Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011

On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

Starting November 5, 2011, CIC will accept a total of 1,000 applications from international students who have completed at least two years of study towards a PhD and or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program in the 12 months before the date their application is received by CIC. Find out more about eligibility for this category or see the number of applications received to date on this site.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Applications received toward the overall cap: 3,675 4175 of 10,000 as of November 23, 2011

*The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of November 23, 2011 is approximate.

**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.

Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, the CIO cannot review each application for completeness on the same day it arrives at the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it reaches the CIO. We are looking into ways to minimize the effect of this on website updates.

Applications received from PhD applicants:

Applications received toward the overall cap: 0 of 1,000 as of November 23, 2011

Hey 67 is not that bad at all.

Firstly we are all already in the CAP, because there cannot be a backlog of 84 days, in updating CAP in the website. When things were at the peak (NOC 1122 & 3152 were getting processed), even then the backlog was 60 days max. Now they say they have been trying to bridge the gap between appl rcvd and CAP update in website, so it definitely cannot be 84 days. Nowadays folks are rcvng their PERs in that much time (85 tp 90 days).

Secondly, even if it is 84 days, lets assume. The average appl rcvd per day for 0631 has been around 5, steadily. So we still have another 2 weeks to go easily.

The other thing is we are not even sure if they have already started processing payments for Sep applicants, because all our early sep friends have made payments by BD and not CC. So its hard to tell.

Cheer up buddy! We are in!!

WOW...so many new members in the thread. Great :-) Just this morning I was thinking I will float a new thread "promoting" our thread and urging people to join us in this thread and provide their details. Guess I shall still do that. The more the merrier!!

Warm welcome to our new friends!!

Hey prapplicant & Your Highness.. We are in dear.. If our applications are filled properly and and complete docs are attached with it, then nothing to worry.. I had a worry about my DD validity whther it is 03 months or 06 months, however it has been confirmed again by the bank that it is valid for 06 months.

Hi Vinod....nice to see you after a long time. I wonder where is Russell and Bhallasorav.

Yes I agree with you. Looks like we are in :-)

About your DD. Remember I told you I had called my Bank to check if any DD can be valid for 3 months. They firmly said, DDs are always valid for 6 months. So you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Cheers
