Dear PRapp,

Thanks for sharing your analysis.

My analysis goes like this. Till Aug 16th the average appl per day was 1.11. From Aug 22nd to 31st Oct is was 4 per day. From the last 2 updates (7th Nov and 10th Nov) the same has gone up to 5 per day, which is alarming.

Days remaining from 19th Aug to 14th Sep = 27
No. of applications yet to be filled is 500-381=119
So the average that will see us thru would be 4.4

So assuming they are still on 18th Aug, if the average remains at 4 per day, we will still make it. But if the average continues at 5 per day, then it's a no go for us.

What do think of this? Do share your views.

Your Highness,

I do my analysis like this. in 7 weeks ( till Aug 15) 0631 reached 380. So roughly 54 apps per week. I have checked last 3 weeks, the average apps per week has fallen to 30. And which is true also because more applications were there in July. If the average remains 30 0631 will close in 15th Aug + 4 weeks, around 12th September. However I am hoping average per week should fall and hence it might close around 20th September.

So I am hoping from now on it should be less than 4 apps per day for 0631. At the start it was 7 - 8 apps per day

Well here's another analysis based on data from our very own SS.

Salman is the latest member whose CC has been charged. His appl was rcvd on 18th Aug, got his CC charged on 31st Oct. This means there's a 74 day gap between appl rcvd and cc charged (for a conservative calculation, lets assume that CAPs is updated once CC is charged). In that case CIC is working on appls rcvd around 28th or 29th of Aug (I have calculated 74 days backwards from 10th Nov).

Helppp.....please do not go by this calculation whole heartedly. Please do not be disheartened by this. For one, this is a very very conservative calculation and without any validated proof that CAPs is updated only after CC/BD is charged. Secondly this takes into account a highest average, while actually the average would soon be coming down as evidently there is a decline in number of applications rcvd during Sep and Oct as compared to July.

Many of us here believe that 0631 will go well into first half of Oct. We will all get there buddy.

Cheers :-)

@ Your Highness, let's wait for another two weeks.. matter will be clear, i mean all mid sept applicants under 0631 should be in.

CIC is not working today rite??? its a stat holiday in Canada today.

Caips is the system that cio uses to update and track our files progress. They have implemented a new system called gcms but fortunately they third party providers of caips have access to bith systems.

http://www.caips.ca/ is one of the sites that can provide you with caips but there are others, prices vary from 25 usd to 125 and the choice is yours. The only problem is that it needs few weeks to reach you and sometimes you need help to understand the report (you have us for that:) ).

Usually, one would need caips files when his application has been still for some time but in your case I think it will help! Did you receive a reply from the other email ID?

Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for this information , +1 for it .

i sent e-mail to the wrong e-mail on my application and thank god it says the following.

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

I will go and order CAIPS FileCheck, no harm to try , i totally trust you , brother you know more than my stupid immigration lawyer.

i will keep u updated.

i will go check my P.O. BOX also today.

thanks brother ;)

i wish you all the best
