Hi Nkkd.

I think birth certificates are mandatory. Last year few applications were rejected coz birth certi were not included. But I had read somewhere that after sept last year they started accepting alternate docs for birth proof. It actually depends on the what vo has communicated to cic.

But in case ur cc has been charged, I don't think there will be any problem. Birth certi matters only during completeness check. And if ur cc has been charged it means they have accepted your alternate docs.

I had sent my app on 7th July. The very next day I read somewhere about app returning coz birth certi was not included. I had to then divert the courier to my uncle place in Canada. Then sent birth certi to him and he again sent the entire pack to cic. My app reached with all docs on 21st july. But unfortunately 1122 got it's cap filled by then.

I just hope and wish that cic accepts ur application.

My CC is not charged yet. Right now they are charging 21st July applicants. I am waiting anxiously with my fingers crossed. I really really hope that they accept my application. There was no way for me to send mine as I do not have one and cannot get one prepared before cap reaches. Hence, I sent the application with other supporting documents and I mentioned that in my cover letter. One more week of suspense before I know the results through CC.

Yes it must be submitted with other documents and last year returend to that reason too many applicants as incomplete

Applications received after Sept 2010 were accepted without BC. Not sure if the guidelines have changed post Jul 2011.

Thanks Jasraj, but I am still worried as people have contradicting opinion regarding this. I did send my matriculation certificate, proof of birth certificate from Indian consulate in USA and also parents affidavit.

one of my friend was in the same situation and he got per , and you will also .
nothing to worry about this matter . Birth and death registration came in 1969 in INDIA and
it was not mandatory . cic people are aware of these things so there is no issue if you fulfil other requirements .
your job duties should match as that of cic format and you should score 67 points .
if anyone does small mistake in filling form even to that one they ingore.

i am also eligible in one more code of 1233, but i could send docs as they were not with me as full, i just has one doc. but now i am thinking off applying again in that code in case my app is back. but after reading posts here i will get my app returned that late which will make PCC more then three months old. now do i need another PCC for this to apply or i just send my same PCC with new application.

Dear friend ! u can send PCC on second stage at ur respective visa office.Wish u luck that u will be successful in ur 1st application n there will be no need of filing second time.Regards.

Good luck with your situation, I really hope they consider the documents you submitted but I think they will as you have justified the reason behind not sending the birth certs,

hi nkkd, since u have sent affidavit for your birth certificate, it wont be an issue. you will have to show it, if reuested by vo.

I just checked my eCAS status.. its "CIO-S eligibility review completed" and I clicked on that status, it is showing like this

"We received your application for permanent residence on July 6, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on September 21, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us"

i bet this is good news yes!!!

Has any one of your courier package delivery note been signed by Stonehouse? I see that I am the only one, whose package was accepted by Stonehouse, and that leaves me wondering if my package has reached the correct address.

Please do respond. I am so worried. Esp because even the new Sep applications were not rcvd by Stonehouse!

as long as your delivery address and pincode are correct... no worries... just double check that..
its doesnt matter who received it.. maybe he was a stand-in staff...
just relax..
