No ur BD was not encashed.
If it was encashed u wud have received some file number and they would have mentioned awaiting processing not initial review................

but her app reached cic on july 8..how come those july 18th apps cc was already charged..I do hope they follow..first come..first serve basis..

Im observing also on how AD....DA....and CB repied to their response....


CB always gives a file number in his/her response....while DA doesnt give any file number....


lets monitor the difference of their replies..God bless us..

does anyone knows the number of CIC? I tried to call the toll free but It says that "It cant be reached"..

@HarryD - cap reached on 8th was not invented here, some of our forum members whose application reached on 8th were charged and some of them whose application reached on 8th got an email from CIC saying cap reached...so returning documents..

@jijitipie - 100% they follow first come, first serve...

I recollect you were the first to get an email from CIC that your file is going through the initial review - what date did you receive this mail ? as I am trying to see if you were charged after they send the response.

We queried on 19th Aug, they replied after 11 days on 30th Aug. The exact words used were 'currently awaiting review' to describe the status in that email. The extra line which our reply email had was 'A letter will be sent via the email addresses provided on your application," which is missing in the replies few have received off late.

Hello guys,

I received reply from "CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca" for my inquiery on status of my application. I got reply from them after 13 days and the message is like this ..
"Your application # is E0000XXXXX. Your file is currently awaiting assessment. Notification will be sent in due course".

Is that anyway indicates positive sign or we can't say like that? I tracked status online after I got this message, it shows in application received status. BTW my application for #1122 received by CIO on 6th July and CC charged on 3rd Aug.

Defenitely a good sign, you have passed the completeness check hence they awarded you a file number instead of returning your application due to missing info.

Now they will check if you have enough points and issue you with a PER.

Both email IDs are correct, but preferably you should send it to FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca as it is the one specified on the website. the reply will be from the one starting with CIO.

CB replied to my email with a File Number while the same signature was on another email with no file number. I had the same thoughts as you before untill I saw another email from CB without a file number.

Jijitipie, CIO serves files on first come first served basis. Have some faith and stop doubting that fact. Exceptions do exist as we all know now but these are "exceptions" they are not the rule.

Im just wondering why we dont have a file number yet when they r already charging cc's of post july 19th apps in 3152..? Im really confused about how they count the caps?

I called 0016139444000 and followed this menu 1-2-1-2-1 then it says if you have a client number to insert it on your phone, wait 3 times when they ask you and then you will be put in queue for talking with a call center agent.

It's not toll free and I waited over 30 mins to talk to the agent from the time I called!
