hey guys,

one of my colleague received reply to his query from cic.

his app was received on 20th july under noc 1122. he got reply that his application is awaiting initial processing and that he will be contacted in due course.

i dont understand cic. if cap has reached on8th july. why they straight away dont tell everyone that cap has been reached and your app will be returned in due course.

they are unnecessaryily creating ray of hope.

Inshallah, will get a positive reply someday.
CAP reached long back.
I assume they consider a % the mass volume of receiving to declare the CAP. It is not possible to assess the file for completeness or eligibility by the time they declare CAP reached.
As per example, They received 50000 application, so can confidently get 500 eligible applicant from 50000. So, they closed the NOC ...
Do not take it seriously ... please, do pray to the Almighty ...
Still there is time to get a PER ....

So does this mean that I have passed completeness check and moving on to eligibility check??? Unfortunately, there's no way for me to tell if my BD has been encashed. CIO must've received truckloads of apps on July8 for them to be taking this long. *whew* ahh the anxiety...

No ur BD was not encashed.
If it was encashed u wud have received some file number and they would have mentioned awaiting processing not initial review................

The idea of cap. reached was invented in this forum. It is not a fact!
The fact that your colleague got this response shows that the theory of cap reached on beginning of july is false.

Congrats !
I recollect you were the first to get an email from CIC that your file is going through the initial review - what date did you receive this mail ? as I am trying to see if you were charged after they send the response.
