Hello everyone

Just to update ,

I believe I received my PER/AOR? I had an email from CIO Sydney, saying that My app will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing and that my application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing. I received this on the 19th October. It also acknowledge receipt of payment. What happens after this please??

my E-cas is also in process from last 10 days.

Well guys,

I really begun believing the "different VO quota" theory - that is until today, when my hopes crashed to the ground...

I just got my package back in the mail today, due to NOC 1122 being filled. It was mailed from CIC on Oct 14. My original application reached CIC on Aug 4th and it supposed to be processed by New Buffalo V.O. It doesn't even look like they reviewed more then first 2 or 3 pages of the application because some of the original paperclips were still in place

It's was a crazy emotional roller coaster for me and I've been visiting this forum everyday for the last 2 months trying to gauge the progress of others to figure out my own. So when I've opened my mail today to unexpectedly find the bulky package I was really stunned... What a shitty day. :'(

But I'm not quitting yet. I will see the damn chimney too. I will try to reapply under different category now. I have one question. If my common-law partner potentially qualifies for one of the NOCs, can we resubmit application for 2 different applicants with two different NOCs in one envelope, or should we prepare 2 separate applications and send them separately?

I got my 2nd AOR..... just now I saw my email and my representative has send me a mail saying that they have got the hard copy letter (consist 4 pages) mentioning about applicatin recv. date, # application, recv by VO, acknowledgement of that, & reciept of BD paid (1100 CAD)..... I am really happy that I got some update about my process.....
In th eletter its clearly mention that yoru VO will take 10 months ahead of recv application date by VO. but after 6 months if i didnt get any update I can directly contact my VO and ask for the status......... Gr8 guys....
I hope everybody in this forum should experiance this feeling soon.......

What are they looking for during background check?

i'm curious to know what they actually look for during background check
because we provide police certificates and fbi or whatever fingerprint
check etc.

What is the procedure?

i mean how do they go about, doing
the background check. Can anyone explain it in simple language?

What are they looking for during background check?
There are several different checks. Criminal check deals with verifying if
person has any criminal record and it is basically covered by police
certificates. Background check mainly verifies education and experience
credentials.

Then there is background/security check which is conducted completely
outside of and independently from Canadian immigration by Canadian
intelligence and security agencies, with and/or without cooperation of
proper authorities in all countries applicant resided since age 18 (for some
nationals since age 16). It looks into applicant's background, activities,
associations, etc. to determine if person was and/or is involved in any
espionage, terrorism, organized crime, radical groups, crimes against
humanity, etc. - how it is done and what is found is classified and CIC only
receives "positive" or "negative" decision.​

Great news AVSNEH !! Does your ecas reads RBVO or the same 'IN Process".?? What are the lines on the next page stating now.?

Avsneh please provide the date when the AOR was issued .As it comes by post the date when you received it is insignificant. The time taken to receive can vary with the distances.
