Upon a second review of the letter, I have to agree with you. Sorry takemblues for giving you false hopes my bad. I based my first reply on the fact that CIO confirmed that they won't be sending any AORs this year as they are combining an AOR and PERs. Why they send you an AOR I am not sure!

Why is this an AOR:

• This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2011/07/13
• They do not mention that it has received a positive review (yet)

I have copied below a section of the PER I received for comparison purposes.
Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on June 25, 2011.

Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

Still, you don't have to sweat about it, it defenitly classifies as good news, with better news to come.

Lets hope for the best, at least someone has opened my file and started work on it. INSHALLAH there will be good news in next few days

Good to know finally you sent that application. All the best for CC charging soon. Do one need to know a lot of excel to do it ,if not I am happy to volunteer.

it's nice to know ur interested managing it is easy, not need so much excel thing. when editing, you just press control f (find) to go to the name of the person ur looking for then make the necessary changes then save it. but of course you have to sign in to do that. i'll make you one of the admins. welcome aboard

P.S- Everything in the spreadsheet except the column headings are in a language that I do not understand-tagalog?philipino?
Is it the same for everyone else? Or, do I have to change some settings to enable English?

I'm new on this thread. I just read through the professions in the new immigration law of June and discovered that my profession is there. However, i had applied in 2006, do you think i can reapply under the new law?

yes you can. when you get positive response for your new application, they will ask you what application ud like to pursue, the old one or ur new one w/c has faster processing time. either way, ul have to withdraw one application. goodluck
