I called them last friday and was informed that they have no record of my application. Also they told me that the office is still opening the applications recd. on 8th July so i should wait.

I again called them yesterday and they found my application and informed me that the application is under review. Then i asked them what does this mean. Is my application accepted or rejected.
They again put me on hold and after asking about my occupation , No. of dependents in application and my email addres they said that i have been sent a letter on 15th september. But dont know whats in the letter.

Any comments !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also now its sure that what they say is correct.But for sure the review of 8th july applications is over. What do you think guys ?

it has been a very busy week for me, i have been focusing lately on my documents and hopefully will be able to submit this coming week, fingers crossed. and as i see, there are so many posts everyday.

when I created post june 26, it has only one intention, to help every applicants by sharing information that each applicant received from CIO. then we had our facebook account created as well, it is a family now, where we still share info from those who have landed. info on how to apply for sin, ohip, where to's and how to's. from where to get cheap plane tickets, to what to brings and what nots. to almost everything that anyone could share, and it gives me deep pride for being an instrumental to that. of course i am hats off to all the applicants for their generous assistance and selfless desire to help. without them, we would have not reached this far. however, i am one of the not so lucky ones but still pursuing, hence the july 2011 thread.

when i made this thread, there was only one intention too, that is to reach out to all post july 2011 applicants and share info, just like what post june thread did. although i tried to rename it to post july 2011, but was unsuccessful. although i believe that with the creator of this canadavisa forum, it will be possible. if not, i am sure with the perseverance and research of would be applicants, they will find their way to any thread or topic that exists here in canadavisa forum that they may deem possible to help them.

for now, let us just focus on being positive always, be of help if we could, cheer up some broken hearted mates and cheers for the good news that some colleagues would bring. keep the faith. inshallah, what will be, will be.

Canada’s Immigration Plan for 2011

The immigration levels plan for 2011 reflects Canada’s long-term vision for immigration and recognizes the importance of immigration to Canada’s economic growth and prosperity. In addition, the plan fulfils the objectives of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to reunite families and reflects Canada’s increased international commitments and humanitarian obligations.

This year’s plan indicates the number of skilled immigrants being selected (principal applicants) and the estimated number of spouses and dependants they would bring. [size=10pt][size=10pt]Federal economic categories (Federal Skilled Worker, Business Class, Canadian Experience Class and Live-in Caregiver) have been combined to create greater flexibility for CIC’s application processing network. This added flexibility will allow the network to shift resources from one category to another to respond to changing operational pressures.[/size][/size] Additionally, because provinces and territories are increasingly involved with the selection of economic immigrants, this year’s plan identifies economic immigrants according to the government responsible for their selection or nomination: the Government of Canada or provinces and territories.

The levels plan reflects growing commitments in the economic, social and humanitarian streams. In particular, the admissions range for federal economic immigration has been reduced to permit further growth in the Provincial Nominee Program. CIC has made progress to date on key commitments in the Federal Skilled Worker category, and is seeing modest growth in the Canadian Experience Class, which is expected to continue in 2011. In the Family Class, spouses, partners and children admissions are expected to return to historical levels in 2011 while admissions in the parents and grandparents category are expected to remain stable. The levels plan incorporates the first year of a three-year plan to increase the number of refugees settled in Canada, announced with the introduction of the Balanced Refugee Reform Act. Also, following recent appointments at the Immigration and Refugee Board, resulting in more cases being processed, the range for protected persons in-Canada and their dependants abroad has been increased. As a result, Canada’s total planning range for the Protected Persons Class is higher than last year.

What visa application centres do

Visa application centres (VACs) allow applicants to have access to client service agents to help them with their application. These agents are reliable and can explain, in local languages, how to apply and verify that applications are complete. By checking for accuracy and omissions VACs help applicants avoid unnecessary delays or refusals due to incomplete applications. The service is at a low cost and offers a reliable option for applicants who would like assistance in completing their visa application, thereby lessening the potential for people to fall victim to fraud.

VACs play no role in the decision-making process and are expressly forbidden to provide any visa-related advice to applicants. All decisions on applications are made by Visa Officers at the Visa Office.

The use of VAC services is completely optional. Applicants can continue to apply directly to the visa office if they prefer.

anyone who received PER is it by email or snail mail?

I got tired of calling my bnk 3times a week.

I just never bothered awhile because It's getting me down weekly I have the not cleared yet. It has been 2weeks now .
I see some already have their PER as in spreadsheet, those who applied earlier and was received arpund 1-4 july.

pls do tell me. I tried reading all the older post but it seems I cannot find any of it.

on monday I will call my bank again but they usually get back at me in 3 days time as they too have to get the feedback from that bank in canada.....
