@Ravi ,be positive,if you did not meet the Cap,they would have told you straight ahead.

We all should stop worrying ourselves till we get information directly from CIO to know the next line of action to take.All assumptions and speculations being rumoured about in this forum will only weigh us down if we buy into them.

For some emails they write... You're file is awaiting initial review... For some.... Awaiting initial processing...

your're right....I dont know whats the difference!and also,I saw a post .. (july 5 applicant)..an email was sent to him with a saying "file is currently awaiting assessment"..

maybe theres a quota in every visa office? or maybe if its incomplete..they automatically return it..saying that cap is reached..coz if they will submit another one..they wont fall either with the cap..coz its late..?

Wow congrats to all of you that got PER's

I'm in such a confusing mode! I called CIC tonight to confirm if my appl was returned and the guy who answered said that they are reviewing 8th july appls to call next week so then I told him about the email from CIC that said my appl was returned and to confirm that Noc 1122 was full by my received date and he told me that he couldn't tell me if its true or not if they are still at 8 of july appl!

How would you interpret that!!??

hmm...they just charged cc's of july 13th-15th applicants..I am wondering if they have different reviewers..if our file has been received by a slow reviewer,we could be unlucky..but if the app whose files was received on a later date by a fast reviewer,then they could be lucky for the advantage of having a fast reviewer... so they might fall on the cap earlier than us.. btw,whats the number of cic?

Dear Ravi, Your details must be on their IT system. Isn't it? If they haven't openned the envelope how can they say it is on initial review stage. They could simply said "we couldn't find your record on the system".

Obviously they would have opened the file!!!
I have also sent an email to CIC checking on the status of my application, I have sent them all the details (like Name (PA & SA); passport number, category, Received date and received by whom)

Yesterday I got a revert from CIC

in how many days you received replies from CIC plz?

What i assume from Ravi's CIC e-mail, it gives a hope for other 1122 applicant. Lets hope for the best for every1.

Can you change the format of AOR rec. from your profile?
It doesnt match with the format you mentioned above ( Appl. rec.)
Please... Later months it will be difficult to guess whether AOR is in d mnth of Aug/Sep......

Sad to read this, But its only 410 cap as of Sept. 6, 2011. Maybe they have backlogs, so as of sept 7, cap is already reached?

I think you have a fighting chance kabayan. So just hang on. As of Sept. 6, there were 90 slots left according to the CIC update. 3152 does not fill as fast as my category 1122. If you don't make it you'll know in due time. Why pre-pone the heartbreak? Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
