Hey Buddy
dont worry, they dont do background checks for everyone.. if they find anything fishy or suspicious in your docs then only they will cal ur employer and do the background checks.. 3 of my friends has already got their PR visa stamped and their employer did not receive any call..
If you check the NDVO website which is www.india.gc.ca the timeline that is mentioned over there is 6 weeks after they receive the application

And there are very few chances that they will call you for interview but if they do then don't be afraid becoz they wont ask u for the scientific calculations, they will simply ask everything about you and your work exp and all your history which I think you should not feel afraid of... In interview they just cross check that there is no conflict between ur docs and what u say

Thanks abhishek, for your comments, well i was just curious that i have not heard anything from them, becaus eits nearly more than a month & nor my employer. One other forum member also replied my querry. According to that memebr i may expect by feb end something from them.

They call only if they have doubts on the documents you have provided. from what I heard, only about 5% of applicants rcv a verification call.

Expect your MR anytime around Feb end.

Dear Alexchristi,

Dont worry and Dont get tensed. First send ur fingerprints to FBI as soon as possible.
I think you have enough time to submit. because, when we requested for FBI certificates, we got it in one and half month.
But I thought it will take 2-3 months.

In the meantime, you write a letter to VO saying that you already submitted PCC and you never lived there after that and
request them to consider the same. also, you can tell them as u applied for it and it will take 3 months to get, will submit once u get.

My ECAS has been updated today to "Medical results have been received" ...they reached Paris vo on Dec 8th...plz update in the spreadsheet.

No I am not ready for the CRNE Exam.. Yesterday got the materials from one of the forum...
Dont know how long CNO will take to give eligibility.

I have send the application they asked me to wait for 12 Weeks to hear from them.

I am also eagerly waiting for MR... hope everything goes well.....

Hello Everybody,

Instead of MR-s today i received a letter from VO requesting more documents:
- original recent FBI certificates for me and my spouse (Me and my family lived in the USA until 2007, and I attached to the application FBI certificates dated November 2010)
- original recent police certificate for my older son (which was not 18 at the time of application, but just had his 18th birthday)
- Immigration form Schedule A Background/Declaration for my older son .

This is not what I expected.

Seniors please help me out! If I send this week new fingerprints to the FBI it will take 8 weeks proces + 10 days to receive the certificates and I only have 90 days starting January 11th (the date on the letter... ... it takes one week to get it from the VO) ???

Can I claim that I have not been in the USA since 2007 so the old FBI cetrif. should be taken into consideration? ???

imo, u should comply w/ the reqmts asked from you by ur vo and get that fingerprints asap. Also, you may try to request from fbi to fast track ur requested fingerprints (by attaching a copy of said letter so that they will see the given time frame to u by the embassy) bec delays (give emphasis to this) might result to a decision by your vo not favorable to u.

Another thing to do is to send to ur VO a copy of your correspondence w/ fbi so that they will be informed that you have complied and you are just awaiting results...and plead w/ them to give u time in case there is a delay on the part of fbi w/c bec this is beyond ur control.... i am sure for humanitarian reason they will be considerate...let's hope and pray for the best Alexchristi (nice name btw)

Hey Alex, Sorry buddy. Apply for your PCC from FBI asap. Doesn't matter even if it takes more than 90days. If you still do not get your PCC in hand at the end of 90 days, you can always write a covering letter to VO along with a copy of your request to FBI. This will serve as proof that you acted on immediately. Considering the fact that holiday season is over, you should get your PCC quickly.
Secondly, PCC is mandatory. You cannot ask VO to waive off this PCC from US as you have not lived there since 2007. The PCC is to show your record for the time you spent in USA as long as it is more than 6 months. In my opinion, claiming for a waiver will be very illogical. The documents they have requested are a not a surprise given your situation with a son just turned 18. These documents will now complete your application with them.
Please go ahead and get things done asap.
