Hmm I didn't realise I was with the NDVO, My PER email I think was from the centralised intake office Sydney and then the MR came from London...so I'm not sure where ND came from?? Weird lol How are you doing with everything? I had my medical today, I may write a lil post about it for everyone after I get done reading replies lol

I am waiting your MR experience as mine is going to be on Monday. So yours experience will be helpful for me so plz do it ASAP 8)

My experience was a lotttt quicker than I thought it would be, I was done within about 90mins. Luckily for me I didn't have to travel too far for this medical, as a there was a designated dr to carry it out in the town next to mine, so saved me a hell of a lot of travelling! I first had to give all my paperwork to a woman who stuck the photo's onthe relevant sheets, and then once she had checked all the paperwork I was sent to do a urine sample...someone else came to check that and I was told it was negative after that a nurse took me to take some bloods, I believe they were routine ones, as well as for HIV, and Hep B...the blood test was very quick...after the blood test, another lady came to take me to get my height and weight and blood pressure done and she also checked my eyesight, (which if you have reading glasses make sure you take them with you!) and after that the designated doctor took me into another room. The doctor will go through your paperwork and just get you to elaborate on your illnesses if you have any, he checks if you have your last cervical smear test (if your female) and he carries out a physical examination on you...which he said mine was fine, and after that was over, I went to have a chest xray. I paid a fee of 295.00 for the whole lot..this is in Pounds so it wasn't toooo expensive. I've been told it takes about 7-10 working days to get the results and process all of this so now I will await to see what happens. Next week I will try and send of my final fee for immigration
Hope this gives people going for medicals a bit of insight, its really straightforward and nothing to worry about!

I'm from the UK too yes! and am NOC 3152...Am also going to BC. Are you going alone or with family?? I'm going it alone so will be nervous as anything lol but excited...Don't worry you will get your MR soon too hopefully!..espesh if your with the london VO? I've just had mine today, the medical only took about 90mins and was verrry straightforwards. Do you mind if I ask you, will you be able to get a nursing job straight away or will you like me have to do some Qualifying courses??

By the way you can download these forms for overseas nurses of their website if you want them quickly. I will definately have to take their exams but not sure about qualifying courses. My computer had not been working properly a lil while ago hence the reason me asking the CRNBC to post them to me, If I don't receive them in the next two weeks though I will just dl them from the net lol Ahhh your so lucky your nurse training has included all those area's I'm strictly Adult registered so I need to do the qualifying classes to bring me up to scratch. My medical cost me a total of 295 british pounds..and yeah you could be there over 2 hours perhaps if there is 4 of you...it also depends of course on how many other people are waiting to be seen also. Taking the CRNE is going to be a challenge as we have never had those kind of nursing exams as part of our training, its so different to North American nursing...

Now coming to RPRF. will you use BD or DD for this purpose? and to whose name it must be? will it be "The Receiver General For Canada" or something else?

On the sheet I was given it says to use BD and yes it needs to be for The Receiver General...

few days back i updated my address to Lvo, yesterday they sent me a conformation mail that they have updated it. today came anothet email stating i will have to appear in an interview, but they havn't specified any date.

Good news that they updated your address and informing you about interview shows that they r working on your file. and all the very best for your interview buddy. Yeah CAIPS is a very good idea.
They might have sent you a snail mail for interview dates and venue. All the best dear.
