While reading through those numerous pages today, I found somebody had asked for clarifications regarding the address appearance and dissapearance mystery. Here's my explanation:

When they want to send us a mailer/package they take the address off ECAS. Then after they ship it, they put it back on ECAS again. So we hear people saying address dissapperance means "good news".

Here's what I think is their purpose for doing this. Just below our address on ECAS there is an option to write to them about change of address, if any. When they get a package ready to be shipped to us, they take the address off ECAS, which means thereon no changes would be accepted for that particular package. Then after shipping that package, they put it back again (so if there are any changes we could get it done during that time), till its time for them to send the next package.

This is my view of course.

n yes i do recall reading a post earlier at some other thread where the member mentioned tht his address disappeared n reappeared in mid dec n early jan. n his status has changed to 'in process' after the address reappearance. i hope this is indeed the case with all of us whose ecas has suffered from the same ailment.

I think they are interconnected through Central Server that will be present in Ottawa. And when Ecas is updated on larger scale then centrally it is controlled or opened and to my understanding thats not a glitch.

I am really sorry that I haven't received the Right PER letter via discussion with other people,.... iSAD, :'( Actually, Every PER is sent by a very formal email (xxxx received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing xxxxx)from CIC, however, I haven't got it... :'( :'( :'(

Hi YH. When I log into my ECAS, on top comes my current mailing add. Below which is the following line:
"If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status."
Then below it is "
"Applicant Permanent residence status
My name In Process"

As u can c there is no option of add change. Is it how it is wid u or is it just me who hasn't got d hang of it. Wd appreciate if u or anybody on the forum cd shed some light on it. Thanx.
