My EE profile has been updated with 50 pts and so many are of the view I might have answered questions incorrectly. I have listed below the questions in Intend to work and the answers I have provided. Just saying though it is mentioned in other areas of CIC website ...these questions have been answered as asked and no where is mention of Job offer for 1 yr after PR.

Does ABC have a job offer in Canada?
The offer must:

• meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
• be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers.

(Drop down with 5 options – I chose the last one)

No, my work permit is exempt from an LMIA for other reasons and is employer specific.
In their website it is clearly stated in Bold that job offer means written 1 yr job offer letter I have provided you the links. And anyone who is claiming the 50 points like you did need a Job offer letter if you gets your ITA. You cant hold back because you will have to submit this document otherwise it will be deemed as misinterpretation.

Thanks for being a Saviour for ICT folks, I see you are bumping multiple threads with same update. I reckon we understand the point and since this is a new change we can try options like rg74 has done.
Yes this update are for those who were in a thinking that there work permit and existng work done is enough but as you see on CIC website it is clearly stated that you need a written job offer letter from your employer that you will work for him after becoming PR.

Lots of people here are saying that their companies will not provide such letters. So if they cant provide such letter than it is good not to claim points.

Should job offer be from same employer (whose name on work permit) or from any employer ?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/offer.asp

A valid job offer has to be:

made by one employer
for continuous, paid, full-time work (at least 30 hours a week),
for work that is:
for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
not seasonal
not on a contract basis, and
in a job that is Skill Type 0, or Skill Levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC)

you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:

are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer and
have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

As by the above written statement you can see from same employer if on ICT WP.

If LMIA then any employer.

It could be also interpreted in another way - If you already have a job offer which has no end date then you technically have the job offer after PR in the ICT case. Because if you are out of job you have to leave the country any way and can't work for any other company in an ICT visa.

To be realistic how can any company know when you are getting PR and mention that date in your offer letter. Offer letter states facts and not if this happens then this will the case.

Also I would like to add - While asking questions in the Intend to Work in EE profile

Does ABC have a job offer in Canada?
The offer must:
• be for full-time and for at least one year
• meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
• be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers

This question regarding job offer doesn't mention anything about the requirement of job offer being valid for another 1 year after PR. I am just being true to questions and answered what they asked and points updated.

It might clear all our doubts in the coming few days and make it easier to understand.

It is clearly written on their website few times that job offer should be of 1 yr after you become PR. If you receive ITA in the next draw please help others that what your docs checklist demands in order to proof job offer. I m sure you will be required to submit a letter stating that you are offered a job after you will become PR.

I totally understand your point and not at all denying the fact that the website states that in few places. But i am saying while asking the questions in the EE profile they are not asking this question at all. And i am answering what is being asked. If they change the question in the EE profile then it will make sense for of us. Lets keep our fingers crossed and wait for few days to see what other updates we have on the job offer query !!

Anyways i don't expect to be selected in the drawing with the score of 462 anytime soon :)

They dont have to mention everything in question. Because the details have been provided in the links which I have mentioned so there is no point for them to keep repeating and make their questions seem like a paragraph. To prove that you have Job offer after you become PR you need to provide a written letter as it is mentioned on the official website there is no otherway to prove it. And I m sure everyone who is claiming it by saying that they dont have letter or company will not provide it CIC will demand you a letter once you receive ITA.

I don't think they needed a paragraph for this question which is driving everyone crazy - They could have done that by just adding 3 words. Anyways let us not argue and wait for few days and see how it goes on?

Look bro. The points are here for employment after PR. If you understand LMIA. It is same LMIAs holders are mostly not in Canada they are given points because CIC know once they granted PR they will work for this company. Same goes to other job offers. There should be a offer of a job that you will do after you become PR. Not existing work done if your WP expires when the application is process where is your job? what will you do after PR? So where is the ARRANGED EMPLOYMENT that you have claimed for?
I don't doubt agree with you. If that would have been the case than there would have been a question like.
Like
"Do you have the job offer or employment for next 1-2 years"
Or
" Is the offer with end date ?"
No company will give such letter. Even company don't issue a simple employment reference letter.
