Well this is a bit personal of her so I prefer not to pursue on this farther :)....but just for sake of some interest in scores can share score of my younger sis who is a TEFL qualified trainer. She took the test before applying for the job nd got 8.5, 8.5, 9 & 9 with overall 8.5.....fact is that she was born in UK and lived there till her 8th grade :)

u mean

listening 8.5
reading 8.5
writing 9
speaking 9

I am getting asked this question very often. Here is how the IELTS test centre calculates your overall band score:

Total score = (Listening score + Reading score + Writing score + Speaking score) / 4

For example, if you’ve received Listening 6, Reading 7, Writing 8, Speaking 7, your total score will be (6+7+8+7) / 4 = 7.

Your score can be either a whole band or a band and a half – for example 7 or 7.5. No other fractions are allowed, for example no 7.25 or 7.75.

So what do they do in such cases, when the total score is neither whole nor half band?
There is a rule: if it ends with .25, round down and if it ends with .75, round up.

Please guide

I mentioned an amount of $ 14000 (2 persons) to carry with myself in my application for permenant residence as required . Few months back i have been blessed by a child and then i sent an updated form, required documents and applicale fee to LVO . unfortunetly i missed to increase the amount of carrying funds from $ 14000 to minimum $17500 as per CIC requirement (10 C of IM 0008).

CIC has revised the forms and now one additional colum has been added i.e total assets (10 a IM 008) where i have mentioned total assets amount . Please guide should this serve the purpose , should i wait for LVO reply on this ? or i inform LVO about this and send an updated form with revised value of Transferable amount ?

regards

I will suggest not to wait for them to ask, it is an obvious requirement, send an updated revised form now.

I am getting asked this question very often. Here is how the IELTS test centre calculates your overall band score:

Total score = (Listening score + Reading score + Writing score + Speaking score) / 4

For example, if you've received Listening 6, Reading 7, Writing 8, Speaking 7, your total score will be (6+7+8+7) / 4 = 7.

No harm in doing both the things

My the Grace of Almighty, LVO sent me 6 to 12 months waiting letter along with original documents.

I received the parcel from TCS today after they called me. I paid Rs 1400 as well to them.

But there is no request for additional documents or medicals. When should they be requested? Any kind views please. :)
