Statement

Minister Kenney issues statement recognizing Rosh Hashanah
Ottawa, September 28, 2011
— The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, issued the following statement recognizing Rosh Hashanah:

“Today at sundown is the start of Rosh Hashanah—the Jewish New Year according to the Hebrew calendar. Rosh Hashanah is the start of the High Holy Days, a 10-day period of repentance which concludes with Yom Kippur—the Day of Atonement.

“Rosh Hashanah is a time to reflect on the past, take stock of the present and make resolutions for the year to come.

“For all Canadians, this important holiday provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Jewish faith and the numerous and valuable contributions of members of the Jewish community in Canada.

“As Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, I extend my best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous new year to Jewish people everywhere.

“Shana Tova u’metukah.”

My address disappeared on 27th sept, 2011, and status turned from RBVO to In Process, with the same RBVO details inside!

My timelines and details are: noc 4131, complete application submitted in june 2010, 2nd aor in august 2010, ecas, vo london, my country Pakistan.

Any insight/input/ideas as to what is going on/what does that signify? Is it really in process or a system error?
How long is it currently taking to get medical after in process?

Thanks and regards,

Proof of Fund [\b]

I submitted PoF in January 2011, with full documents. I submitted PoF as a Bank certificate/letter mentioning the amount that i have in my account. I have maintained my account balance from Janury till now.

Now, Due to some reason, i want to transfer my money into Fixed Depoit/term deposit account in bank (Not in National Saving Certificate). My questions are that:

1- can i do that?

2- If yes, then do i need to inform CHC London aswell about it.

I am pretty confused after reading the reply of CHC at the following link:

Ok guys finally the long awaited last quarter of 2011 is started. But we cannot expect a rain of medical request from CHC London. Still those who submitted full documents in 2009 are waiting for any response from CHC London. I think our turn is going to be somewhere near to mid of next year. >:(

There is a news that Canada is about to suspend taking FSW applications any more.

Could be good for old applicants

how do you get these news ? they already have caped the FSW immigrants about 500 for each catagory. i think Visa offices of canada have much vast experience to handle large no of files in one time.i think they will never completly suspend new files input.

our files will also treat as fast but now they have to confirm our back ground security check clear.they normaly only delays due to that.

thanks

You must read this post by Shoaibz as well.
I kept 1500,000 in my bank for a period of 2 and half years and then I moved a few hundred thousand to an investment, three months after that I received my medicals, after a lot of running around, I managed to get my money back into my bank. Did my medicals, and sent it along with fresh proof of funds and fresh Police certificates. Then last month I received a letter asking me to explain the entry of large sum of money in my accounts within last six months! So I sent them the proof of investment and a letter explaining the whole scenario. Now I'm waiting for my PPR with my fingers crossed.

Therefor don't move your money till you get the visa stamped !

Well, he actually withdraw some money. i m not withdarwing any money. i am just changin my account type. from simple bank account to fixed deposits. Its written in the guidelines that you can have "Term/fixed deposit". The email reply they got with the medical request, i guess. so i think i can transfer all my money to fixed/term deposits. still i am confused. [:(]
