if your job falls in the list of level O,A,B ... they may ask for ilets score.

No. For a temporary work permit they are more likely to ask for language scores if the job falls under C & D. But they may start asking for these scores for all jobs in the very near future.

I don't think IELTS are required for applying for work permit!

I believe for Skill Level C/D, it is required to have "Basic Proficiency" when it comes to English knowledge.

CLB/NCLC 4 is considered “Basic Proficiency” and means that an individual being tested who “meets” CLB/NCLC 4:

can communicate basic needs and personal experience;
can follow, with considerable effort, simple formal and informal conversations;
can read a simple set of instructions, plain language; and
can write short messages, postcards, notes or directions.

Beside embassy sent me a mail to submeit the IELTS certificate with in 30 days even its to short
British council have time only after 3 weeks and for the result they need 15 days
Shall i request the embassy to give some more time by explaining the fact
Do they agree??

As stated in CIC website
Starting July 1, 2012, most Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants for semi- and low-skilled occupations that fall under National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Levels C and D will have to undergo mandatory language testing and achieve a minimum standard of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in English or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) level 4 in French across all four categories: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

I applied on 2nd of july,got an email 17th of sep
Ichecked with the british coincil to write the test,they can give a slot only afte the second week of october
But in the mail from the embassy says i must submit the certificate befor 17 th of october
Even i appier for the test it takes 15 days for the result,shall i request the embassy to give some moor time,
does it works?do i need any documents to prove the fact?

You usually get your results 2 weeks after you take the test. So your timeline will not be enough. Give your embassy a call to discuss this situation. speaking to someone is better than emailing for this issue.

better be ready ... with your result approx when u are going to apply for work permit ... who knows they will ask you for your ilets score they way they ask to karan... and its not waste to give test for sure it will help u in future ..the result will be valid for 2 years.

thanks maybe ill just wait for the embassy for the confirmation,does this apply to all temporary foreign workers?
