FYI: the following job fair company CHARGES jobseekers in order to enter the fair and so they can "copy and distrubute" your resume among the thousands of jobseekers. I realize it may be a minimal charge, however as an HR professional I find this practice to be HIGHLY unethical as someone should NEVER have to pay any sort of money to gain access to employers. What makes it even worse is that this company can't guarantee (nor should they), these copied resumes will actually be seen by hiring managers. More likely than not, employers are going to receive stacks of 1000s of resumes which will eventually get lost in the shuffle. I encourage jobseekers to NOT take part in this nonsense. It's as if they are asking us to beg for jobs. The hotel had no idea this was happening, and I am sure neither do the employers who agree or pay to be a part of the fairs.

DO NOT GO TO ANY JOB FAIRS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPANY BELOW.

If you were standing in line at the ottawa job fair today and saw a young woman loudly warning others to RUN, yes that was me! Hopefully I convinced at least 1 other jobseeker to keep their dignity and not succumb to "yes master" mentality!

Companies should NOT be profitting off of other people's fears and misfortune. RIDICULOUS AND UNETHICAL.
