Hello friends,

I got a job as a software developer with monthly salary of 2200 CAD, (less applicable deduction). i.e 13.75/hr.
The salary is low as they are considering me as an intern for first year.
I want to know if this job is valid (as far as salary is concerned) after one year of experience, to enroll myself in an Express entry pool??

CEC requires minimum wage of your NOC. So that's ok as long as you have graduated and are under PGWP.

If you are applying LMIA for the 600 points, no that won't be enough. You need median wage. Similarly for some PNP programs that requires "wages up to Canadian standard". That practically means median wage.

Thanks for the info.
And is that same for CEC, I mean I would be eligible for that too??

That was for CEC. So Yes should be allowed into EE pool under CEC.

Add:
CEC look at job wage of the experiences you are claiming for, LMIA cares only the job wages and conditions going forward. So if 1 year later you want to apply LMIA and your employer agrees to raise you to median of your NOC and region, LMIA would be approved in that respect.

Im guessing your already in Canada?

Thnks @mf4361 for quick reply

However, the minimum for my NOC is around 19 which is far more than what I am offered now.

Is it wise not to start this job, as it might not be eligible for CEC after 1 long year??

I don't know if $13.75 is too low even for CEC eligibility because it sounds really low, close to legal minimum wage. There is no wage requirement in CEC, but there are cases being rejected in CEC for very low wages because VO might question whether its genuine and legal.

But for sure LMIA at this wage level will get rejected for below median. Your employer can raise you to $19 when you apply for it, but that's up to your employer too. (I don't think its fair to your employer to raise you just because you need to immigrate, even they are cooperative)
