Job outside canada - Residency obligation

I am a Permenant Resident landed in Canada in April 2010 with my family. My employer X INC is a Canadian company incorporated in Canada.In 1998 the two directors of X INC have formed a company by the name of X LTD in Sri lanka with a sri lankan national( who is also a director of that company ) to do businesses in Sri lanka

My employer has offered me to work for X LTD( The company which is formed in Sri Lanka by the two directors of X inc ) as its Manager.If I accept the job, I will have to be in SriLanka from March 2011 & my family too will have to live in Sri lanka with me.

Pls advise me whether the days I work in Sri Lanka will be counted for determination of the residency obligation for my self and my family.

Pls advise me what to do and what steps to be taken for securing my PR status while doing the overseas job.

It wouldn't appear that X Ltd is a Canadian company, therefor your work abroad wouldn't be for a Canadian company and wouldn't count for your residency.
