Job Offer

I am Canadian, my husband is American and we are applying outland.

My husbands friend is happy to give him a job when we are approved to move.
Actually, what he wants to do is give my husband a partnership position.

1. Does it matter if the job offer is for a job not in his field?
2. Do we have to prove that it is a serious offer?
3. What should a job offer look like?

You guys are applying throught the "Family Class", it doesn't matter if he has a job offer or not.
The most important is to show your relationship is true.

But if you want, you can just attach a letter saying that when application is approved, he already has a job.

So in that case I'm not sure how to fill out question 11 on IMM 5540 (sponsor questionnaire). (Since I live in the US and will be moving back into Canada)
It asks how we plan to re-establish ourselves and proof of our intentions. If we have no rental agreement, etc, how can we prove we intend to move asap?

You can state your intentions about moving back ASAP, maybe potential prospect employers for you and/or your husband, how you plan to end your ties in the US (maybe that you plan to resign form your current job, or will be internally transferred if your company has presence in Canada), etc.
I think its important to show that your intentions are genuine and that you have done your research if no other proof is available
