Hi guys! I'm also a January applicant, I submit my application last January under Intra-company transfer, Sad to say kahit kame naapektuhan to think na 8 months lang kami doon at hindi magtatagal, at urgent ang case namin because meron kaming project na kailangan matapos ASAP. our company provide us a representative & they inquire about our status last week of May eto ang kanilang reply..
We have received the following reply from the Canadian Embassy in Manila:
Please note that due to significant increases in temporary resident intake (especially work permit applications), the closure of two offices in the region and the transfer of processing to Manila, reductions in resources, and processing priorities in other business lines, we currently have an inventory of approximately 10,000 Temporary Foreign Worker applications (including LCP files) awaiting final assessment. We are presently assessing non-LCP Work Permit applications received at our office in the first week of December 2012.
Based on current inventories, the time from the date of receipt of a non-LCP Work Permit application in our office, to review of that application by an officer, is presently about 24 weeks. Because we issue "own risk" meds to applicants early in the application process, we find that we are currently able to finalize about 80% of our work permit applications at 24 week point. The exceptions seem to be cases where applicants have not complied with the request to undergo a medical in a timely fashion, or where medical complications, background/criminality concerns, or other factors affecting admissibility or eligibility have come to our attention.
It appears as though they are facing extreme backlog as it has taken them considerably long to even respond to our email follow-up. Unfortunately, at this time we can only wait.
We will continue to keep you apprised of any updates, should you have any questions please contact this office.
