Hi everyone, I recieved Portal 1 mail today. GC key FD shows today’s date. But there is no change in tracker, it says eligibility not started, background in process.

i read in another comment on this forum somewhere that pr approval emails are manually triggered by case officers while fd is automated. so it could be just that, the visa office where your application is being processed may have a significant backlog. hopefully your rfv request is right around the corner.

around 11AM EDT today, tracker showed biometrics (for the first time), medicals, and eligibility as completed. background still in progress.
application history section on the tracker also showed this update today backdated to 28th March: 'We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.' (i hadn't sent anything or was asked to).
gckey had no update (i did receive a ghost update on 29th March, one day after my gckey background check was updated to processing).
and then around 1:10PM EDT, I received the RFV request email.
(tracker still shows background in progress. gckey still shows reviewing eligibility, and background processing.)

i saw other people in the forum got this tracker update too. it's probably something to do with eligibility/background compiling at the back-end. hopefully your rfv is also around the corner. my aor was 6th jan.

Got a request for RPRF: April 8
Also sent a request to add my newborn on March 14, but tracker updated on April 7 to say “We have received the information you sent us.” Hopefully this means it’ll be processed soon.
Eligibility is in progress on tracker now, so is background check.

Eligibility changed on April 8, same day I received the RPRF request.
Update - in tracker eligibility changed to 'in progress' on 7th April 2025.
