Hello,

My wife's PR application under spousal category is pending. I recently received the request to submit the right of permanent residence fees. I have 30 days to submit it. However, the problem is that we have welcomed our first child and all her documents are now ready. Can anyone confirm if these documents suffice to add a dependant child to an existing spousal application.

1. Updated IMM5406E - Manually Signed by wife
2. Updated IMM0008E - Manually Signed by wife
3. Child Birth Certificate
4. Child Smart Card (Equal to National ID Card)
5. Child Passport
6. Fee payment of 175
7. Four Passport Sized Pictures Dated and Stamped on the Back side

Now, another question is where to raise a webform. Currently, my wife's application is being dealt by London Visa Office. So, should I raise the webform and attach the documents to London Office? I am hoping to write an explanation letter and then attach all the documents with it to create one pdf.

Hi, my husband's PR is in progress in Accra office, no PPR yet. We applied on February 14th 2024 and last update is Medical passed on Aug 28, 2024. But he has a visitor visa in his passport.

Alright. Same here no progress. Submitted Jan, 2024, medicals passed in July. GCMS notes only shows criminality in progress, the rest not started. They're really slow

I noticed that most of the applicants received pre arrival notes after medical or before. My family still waiting and completed medical exam. our 2 kids tracker showing eligibility not started but my spouse completed eligibility and medical in April and background verification in progress.

pre-arrival is just information for new immigrates. It doesn't mean anything. And it can be issued at any stage of the application.

I agree with prearrival is information for new comers. However receiving pre arrival is also a positive sign of process in progress. And eligibility of PA has been processed or in being reviewed rather than not started.

It only indicated something is done with the application but it doesn't guarantee an approval or how soon the next step will be.

For the country specific document of Nigeria, it states to include a "Details of Military service" - IMM5546 form.
Do you have to fill this form even if you do not have any military record?

Fill in the form and put N/A in any section that's not applicable.
Include a letter of explanation why you didn't have to join any Military service/training/youth camp etc.

I am still waiting on PPR no response yet. Got an update yesterday stating that we have received your passport sent when no PPR has been issued

Firstly a little ray of hope for everyone- we've just received our passport request so things are moving for us and hopefully should be moving for you all soon!

Secondly a quick question- Appendix A requests a list of all accompanying family members, but it's not clear if I (the husband and sponsor, already a Canadian citizen returning to Canada) need to be included on that list. My assumption is no as it says everyone on the list needs to have gone through the same application process but I wondered if anyone could confirm?

Only ones that needs to get PR. So you don't need to include your Canadian husband on it.
