Hi everyone, I am completing my online application and need your help to complete that. There is a question about taxes. I have filed the taxes for all the years except 2022. We can file taxes for 2022 after Feb 20th. So my question is - What did you select for taxes filed for the tax year 2022? If you select no, which is mostly the case, are there any implications?

Thanks!

3. FY 2022-23 (ends March 30, 2023), the ATIP shows IRCC allocated more decision targets for paper applicants. But that can change very quickly. Currently September 2022 paper and online applicants are seeing similar processing with respect to background check and tests. Also, online applications are currently receiving AOR in 15-20 days where as paper applications are taking 60 days for AOR. IRCC is unpredictable and can very well decide to prioritise online applications over paper for FY 2023-24. It is hard to say, there are no guarantees
Can you provide the ATIP link that shows IRCC decisions?
Thanks

I submitted online application on 4th Jan and received the AOR via email with a PDF attachment containing case number. However when I login to the online portal where the application was submitted, it still shows the application in "Application submitted!" status and says that "This is not your acknowledgement of receipt (AOR)".

Is everyone else on the same situation or the online portal is showing updated AOR status?

You can use the AOR email to create an account on https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en
You can track your application status there. Have you already done that?

Thanks for the link. In my Application, I have clicked 'Yes' to all tax years after I landed in Canada. So by mistake, I have entered 2022 taxes also as 'Yes'. I have received AOR today, At this point can I do anything? Will that be considered as false representation?
For peace of mind you can send a webform with an explanation that you checked "yes" for 2022 but since the filing is not open yet, you'll complete it once it is open and before the deadline. However, in practice, they are not going to start checking your application for a couple of months so you can finish filing soon because the CRA deadline is April 30, 2023. Currently, September 2022 and a very few Oct 2022 applications are seeing BG complete and test invites

I did the same mistake of entering 2022 tax as filled when I submitted on 4th Jan 2023. I also received the AOR recently. However since last 4 year taxes were filled, I think I will satisfy the tax filing obligations required for the citizenship. So I am not doing anything as of now unless asked by IRCC. At the same time, I am planning to ensure that I file 2022 as soon as my T4s appear in CRA.

Yes, I tried to create an account on this link using my UCI and Application Number from the AOR letter.

However, I get an error message saying "Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on the Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] form or the Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual [IMM 5475] form. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your client’s application is not in our system yet "

That's why I was wondering if anybody else is in the same situation before I try to reach out to IRCC phone helpline.

What date did you get AOR?

I received the AOR as PDF in an email today. I don't see the update in my profile about AOR yet and seeing the same error as yours while trying to create an account in the tracking system. I think maybe the system is not updated yet.

Noticed in simuser7 's signature, he/she was able to access the tracker after around 48 hours. So we need to wait I guess.
