Hi all,

My application was submitted end of January.

I received citizenship test last week. They asked me to complete the test within 19th September to 10th October. I took the test on the 19th September and the results show pass. When I log in to my citizenship status website, I am still seeing the Citizenship Test is in progress. I am wondering how long usually would that changed to the next stage?

I had the same timeframe for our tests. Completed on Sep 20th however its still showing in progress. I have been wondering the same. I guess we will clear around the same time.

The test email had "HAM Cit RN" mentioned.

I have noticed that many applicants who have had their BG check completed in September have not received test invites and few of them re in Mississauga or Toronto or nearby. Maybe there is some issue with test scheduling in Mississauga and they referred it to Hamilton. It's just a wild guess from my side. Else why would so many applicants with BG check completed haven't received invite?

Submitted the application on the same day as yours. Just received the test invite and you are taking your oath now. That’s the difference between paper and online.

For online applicant the test email comes from a standard email address which does not provide info about the processing office.

Hello Guys,
I have a situation here. I gave my citizenship Test on Sept 22,2022, during the test my connection was lost hardly for 2 mins and I had to reconnect. I didn’t change any answers after reconnecting back as it happened after I had given all the answers.
I got 17/20 which means I passed it, but in my online application it hasn’t been updated yet.
I am seeing in this forum people that had passed the test, their status has been updated after 2-3 days but mine is still showing Citizenship Test not started. I don’t know what to do, I am very worried.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

I believe the instructions were to reconnect as soon as possible and complete the test in case of internet issues. Apparently you had no issue submitting the test and it was scored. If you didn't have any issues with taking the ID/picture etc it should be fine.

I believe the test site is designed to capture either occasional pictures or a video of you taking the test. Is it possible they're looking into any potential gaps? Yes but more likely, I think this is within the a normal timeframe for the test to be marked completed.

I wouldn't worry too much. If you want, you can write to the same email where the invite came from and explain the situation. I don't think you are alone when it comes to internet issues, I'm sure they've seen this a lot. You can also call them if you prefer.
