Hi guys an update from my end.

Neither my tracker nor ecas shows the update. Neither do I have received any email.

But I got a call from my MP office that oath scheduled tentatively for 11 May.

Has anyone faced the above situation?

I see an update on my tracker. Oath has been scheduled on May 11, 2022

Hi Guys,

Me and my wife are waiting for Oath 3rd Feb 2022. All the status is completed except the Oath invite not started.

Now my wife need to go out of Canada for some family emergency. If we got invite while she is out of country can i go ahead with my invite and attend the ceremony and ask CIC to delay her invitation.

Any one in the same line provide feed back.

Hi, We had this happen to us. We had a ghost update with no change on April 29th, and then on May 2nd or 3rd they updated to say we needed to give fingerprints, since our background check is due to expire in mid May. However, since your background wasn't completed until November 2021, yours wouldn't be doing the same thing, so hopefully you have decision made soon!!

Hi guys, Update on our end. My husband passed his citizenship test on April 2. April 29th they updated his background check to in progress (it was complete since May 2021). Today, we received the update that we need to get fingerprints. However, they state that an email was sent to us with details and instructions but nothing has been sent to us yet.

Do we need to wait for the instruction letter, or can we just go and get fingerprints, bringing a print out of the tracker saying we need to give fingerprints. We are flying out to Thailand on Friday for two months, so we really need to do the fingerprints before we leave as they state it has to be done in Canada, so I just wanted to check to see a) how long does it normally take for them to send the email after updating online and b) is it essential to get the email, or can we just go without it?

Update on our end. We emailed citizenship Ottawa about the instruction letter. The next day we received it from Citizenship Vancouver. We were able to get fingerprints done today, the day before we fly out. Perfect timing that we were able to get the fingerprints before we were unable to.

Yes of course you can attend.
But i would ask you not to inform them anything about her absence ahead and confuse them to avoid any cancellation of invite for both of you. So dont inform them anything and attend your oath and when asked by officer tell that you are the only one available as she has to depart for home country for emergency and you should be fine.

There is no necessity to avoid oath just because one member wont be available. Its better to finish with process at least by one member.

My test status updated to completed on Jan 20th, 2022.
After that radio silence. No updates.
BG check expiring today.

Congrats bud! That's awesome.. I'm literally stalking the post man since last week. I really thought it was gonna come today. It's been a week since my application was closed. It shouldnt take a week for a mail to come from Niagara to Hamilton even if it's regular mail. Lol. I have an appointment on 6th so fingers crossed!

Just checking if you received your certificate. My ECAS status has not yet updated to Complete yet, I finished my Oath ceremony on 3rd May. i also did not receive any acknowledgement for the Oath confirmations that we emailed to them after the Oath ceremony.

Right when i got this notification i was checking all the details and tryna take pics of my certificate lol.
FINALLY!! I RECEIVED IT TODAY.. so the entire waiting game is over now! By the way it came along with two congratulatory letters one from Prime minister and one from minister of IRC.

I had to cancel my previous appointment and have booked another one for next week. Far far away in a small town in rural Ontario 2.5 hrs drive. But it is what it is at this point.

Did you receive any acknowledgement email for the oath letters you signed and emailed them? if possible please let me know where you are booking your appointment as I am also looking for something.
