I have added new entries for people who got AOR, but we are missing location and physical presence data.
Thanks for updating the sheet ever so diligently, Mods.
Update from my end: (My data is included in the Jan 2021 tab) While AOR was received on Mar 18, 2021, recently I got an invite to check the application status online.
  • I can see that "Background verification status" has been updated to Completed (on May 4, 2021).
  • Language skills is currently in progress
  • Physical presence: ditto
  • Prohibition: ditto

Hello friends,
I am applying for citizenship using online method for my wife. She completed her 3 year requirement. There is a question regarding police clearance that in past 4 years have you lived in any country other than canada if yes then provide police clearance or explanation why you can’t. In my wife’s case before 3 years coming to canada she was in india since birth. So for that 1 year before 3 years does she needs police clearance or not. Thanks

Not required if the country of Origin before becoming / attaining PR status is country of Birth

I would not advise to submit paper on top of electronic application.
Yes, paper ones advance way better now than the electronic ones, but :
1. it is hard to predict how do they approach in the future based on previous behavior since it seems that they do not have any strict procedures and many factors could influence the result. E.g. they can start giving priority to electronic apps over paper. you never know.
2. the situation is not good but it is not so bad either. January applications start to receive AORs recently (comparing to march-april period when there were no news whatsoever). So if you've submitted in January you may receive your AOR quite soon
3. most important : they explicitly ask not to send paper application for those who have already submitted electronic ones. That could confuse their system and you could end up with even worse situation than now.

just my 5 cents

I did both, so my project citizenship is sort of a lab rat experiment. My first application is a paper one got my AOR by July , my online application sent in April 2021, didn't progress any further till date. Whatever comes first, sounded a better idea. It's not recommended doesn't mean it can't be tried. Eventually, you get to write one exam and swear one oath. Whichever route gives you a shot at the exam first will be better, and you can withdraw the other at that point of time. You will probably loose the fee paid either in full or partially, depending on the stage of the application.

I applied online on feb 1st and like everyone else I am still waiting on the AOR. A few questions:
1- When did you apply for the paper one?
2- Does the AOR in any form indicate which application has been acknowledged?

1. Initially on Jan 19, 2021. It was wrongfully returned to me in April 2021 citing it to be incomplete. I've resent in April 2021 with an LOE and got an AOR ion July 07, 2021.
2. I'm not sure as to how the online application's AOR looks like. The one i have is for paper app. from IRCC, Sydney with an application number. The application number is unique, so that should differentiate the two applications.

Is that a normal thing or something extra that not everyone needs to provide?
I am curious about that, too.
My data is included in the Jan 2021 tab - AOR received on Mar 18, 2021, but I haven't received an invite to do fingerprinting or anything at all. I can only see the following online, which means I just need to wait, I believe.
  • I can see that "Background verification status" has been updated to Completed (on May 4, 2021).
  • Language skills is currently in progress
  • Physical presence: in progress
  • Prohibition: in progress
I am not even sure how they determine "language skills" if they aren't contacting me!
