Hi All,

I want to inform you all that I have received my AOR email for Canada Citizenship application. And hope all the January 2021 applicants who submitted their paper applications would get the AOR's soon.

And I have few questions regarding the Citizenship test,

Do I have to start preparing for the Citizenship test right away?
How much time do we have to prepare for the test? And
Do we have an option to choose a test date ?

Congrats! thanks for your update! Were you an online or paper applicant? If online then looking at the trend from December applicants, I would say its good to start preparing cause you never know how soon you get the test invites.

I don’t think he’s an online applicant based on his timeline. Application sent and delivered dates are different.

Hey Thank you, My application is a paper application. Sent on 5th Jan 2021 and got delivered on 7th Jan 2021.
Is there an option for us to change the citizenship test dates ?

I sent my application back in December 2020. I submitted my application based on checklist CIT 0007 (06-2019) E.
Now I noticed that there is a fresher checklist dated November 2020 - CIT 0007 (11-2020) E.

Is anyone else in the same situation?
This may be a reason for rejection, right?

Yes you were able to reschedule physical test appointments pre-covid and can also reschedule the online test invites. You will have to contact IRCC after you get a test invite to reschedule it

We applied for my spouse and 2 kids . Total 3 people. We sent documents from Montreal.
App sent: 4th of Jan
App received : 7th of Jan
AOR : 5th of March
Hardcopy application and AOR received in 58 Days

i mailed my pape base application on 26th december but it received on jan 4th 2021.
i got AOR 5 March 2021.
what is a next step, its mean my application filled correctly and and all of my documents are according to requirements ?
i am wondring.

I guess I've found an answer to my own question:

Applications received at our Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Sydney, NS March 1, 2021 or later must use forms from October 2020 or later (indicated on the lower left corner of the form). Application forms that are not up-to-date will be returned as incomplete. IRCC does not consider the date of signatures or mailing to be deciding factors.

Admin, please update line 2 in excel tracker sheet for visa office to Surrey, BC from Vancouver. Thank you

someone from Facebook group received AOR bu he applied both online and then he printed out and send by mail also. Looks like no one applied on Jan-2021 by online not receive AOR yet.
