I have the same question. I am just gonna ask them during the ceremony or maybe they will clarify it themselves as I bet others would have that same question. Instructions are unclear from the email atleast.

Today during the ceremony, we were told to write just the name of the Clerk who did my registration ( cutting up of the PR card, verification etc) in the subject line so that they can forward it to the right person.

Congrats. So when did you physical, language and prohibitions complete? Also, Did you apply citizenship application online or by paper?

It will show completed on the feb 8 or 9 , they update it after the last day you have to take the test.
Not necessarily - Mine updated 4 days after taking the test (2 of those days being weekend) while my test window went on for several weeks after that

Wow! Another one with an oath in January 2022! Congrats on becoming a Canadian today! I udpated the tracker for you. Since it looks like you applied by paper, would you be able to tell me what date
1) your file was in progress on ECAS
2) your file had decision made on ECAS [Alternatively, this would also be the date that Presence, prohibitions, language were all marked complete in the online tracker. This is often a different date than you get assigned an oath date.]
Thanks!

Hi.....Need help to understand this

I have been checking the ECAS system and the other online application status page (https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/dashboard). ECAS has always been "In Progress" and the other online status site has been as indicated below since we completed our citizenship test in June. Today I randomly checked ECAS and it now shows "Decision Made" for me and my spouse. and our 6 year old daughter's status shows "In Progress". The other online system however has no change in any of the statuses. What does this mean? I am really worried :(

(The only thing I did on my end is I ordered GCMS notes on Jan 12, 2022)

Current Status for ECAS: Decision Made

Current Status for Other Site:
Language skills: In progress
Physical presence: In progress
Citizenship test: Completed
Background verification: Completed
Prohibitions: In progress
Citizenship ceremony: Not started

Application history
Jun 25, 2021: Citizenship test activity status updated
Jun 11, 2021: Scheduled for citizenship test
Jun 7, 2021: Citizenship test activity status updated
Apr 27, 2021: Background verification activity status updated
Mar 10, 2021: Application filed
Jan 10, 2021: Application received

Hmm... what day did ECAS show that decision made happen - Jan 28? I suspect that they just didn't finish doing the update in the other site, after doing the decision made in ECAS? Hopefully you get all of the sections (language, presence, prohibitions) marked as complete later this week. But that is strange that it has decision made on ECAS but not completed sections in the other place... If the decision made just happened on the weekend, they probably just stopped part way through the process because it's the weekend? Sorry I can't help more or offer any further information, but I wouldn't be worried about it! It's progress!

Thanks for the response. I am not sure when it changed to "Decision made" but it could be anytime in the last 15 days. I wasn't checking actively as nothing had changed since June 2021 and I was checking the other site more often. I tried to search through posts and internet but couldn't find a similar scenario faced by others

hi

i have the reverse of your scenario.

in the new tracker everything except oath is complete since 2nd dec 2021 but ECAS is still “in process”. my guess is that the trackers are not reliable in all cases

Thank you so much!
My file stayed in progress until I got an update about the fingerprints requirements in July and I think after the test was completed back in Oct, all other were marked as complete. I don't remember the exact timelines though, sorry

The status on the other site changed today and everything now shows as "Completed" there as of Jan 29, 2021 except Citizenship ceremony but overall status is still "In progress" on this site. :)

Yeah I guess it depends from office to office. In my oath ceremony they asked us to not worry about the clerk initials at all.. They gave us the subject line in zoom chat that we could copy and use for our email.

Woohoo!! That's great news! Glad you weren't left in limbo of uncertainty too long! So looks like someone started updating your file, and then went home for the weekend as soon as 4pm hit ;) or got pulled away mid-update to work on something urgent. Hopefully you'll get your oath date scheduled in the next week or two! Congrats on getting one step closer to officially become a Canadian Citizen!

Oh, and the tracker will say in progress until after the oath. Once it says "closed", that is when the citizenship certificate is printed and mailed to you. It will stay "in progress" until it has been printed and mailed.
