I called IRCC yesterday and the agent told me Eligibility passed. Criminality and security not started. Then he said they were conducting background check after which it will start. VO, he said it’s still in CPC Ottawa. AOR Jan 6th. I feel relieved a little

I have tried calling the IRCC number for a long time now, and it just says the lines are busy, try again later. This is after I enter my UCI, app number, and year of birth. It's very frustrating - when do you guys call IRCC to get into the line? I tried 8 AM Ontario time and 8 AM Manitoba time, both times no luck.

BGC = Criminality + Security. The MyCIC status on BGC doe snot state the exact status of your application.

The security only starts after eligibility is passed. To read on security, see https://bit.ly/3apWglN

In most cases where you have provided the biometrics, it is not reflected on your MyCIC account since no one has updated it. As long as you have provided the biometrics, no need to be concerned.

What did you hear when you called? You should follow the instructions. That is the number I used and got across to them. I’m really confused on what you mean by legitimate.

Hey guys a little help..... The reference letter i submitted was signed by my Supervisor and he is now retiring.. So his email id will no more be accessible and the number that is given in the letter is the common number of the company.... Should i be taking any steps to inform ircc about it
