if you dont come within 6 months then your visa will be automatically cancelled/expired. however, there will not be any kind of ban but in case if you want to come back to UAE then u will have to apply for a new visa.

But my visa is valid till 2022. So within 6 months I can take a short trip and go back like staying for a week and then go back to India.

Exactly, as long as your coming to UAE once in 6 months you are safe !

As proof of funds a lot of money is locked in savings account. Now the processing times are uncertain and in all probability will be longer than 6 months, so can that money be put in FD ? will it affect the application ? Can anyone please suggest

3 to 4 months post AOR to good time to consider requesting Gcms Notes. Also you have a choice to request the same information from IRCC or CBSA; same process and cost just the consent form is different ( see the different consent forms at https://consent.gcmsnotes.com/ )
