Wifey (PA), got an email on 20 Feb, stating her application status changed and to sign in to GCkey to check the details. No change in GCKey. Maybe that day they started her background check? The day before (19 Feb) I submitted a form via web forum that was missing some info, maybe that's the reason for the ghost email? The BGC part of the status on GCkey says "BGC in progress". I'm so frustrated!Nada. I called and they told me that I was within regular application processing of 12 months. They have my application and blah blah blah lol. Which is right, but I guess they just gave me a silly Bring Forward date to verify my divorce and previous sponsorship I guess. I had a Ghost update on Feb 19th I guess that's when I would have gotten SA. But I seem to be in the more complicated scenario. I just want it to get to JA. Then I'll really start my wait.
TRV Bio is different from Family Class Bio. Your TRV Bio is good for 10 years if you apply again for a TRV. You must submit new Med for Family Class.Permanent residence applicants
You’ll need to give your biometrics and pay the fee each time you apply, even if you gave your biometrics in the past for another application.
Visitor visa, study and work permit applicants
You only need to give your biometrics once every 10 years. You don’t need to give your biometrics again until the 10-year period expires.
If you gave biometrics in the past as part of an application for a visitor visa, work or study permit and they’re still valid, you don’t need to give them again.
As for the Ghost Update. I did nothing and received one. So not sure. I think that day they set mine aside for further processing.Wifey (PA), got an email on 20 Feb, stating her application status changed and to sign in to GCkey to check the details. GCKey: Does everyone's BGC say in progress as soon as they link application and check status? I'm trying to decipher if the BGC "In progress" is a generic statement or changes real-time. As I am aware, some members here already got SA, BIL, MED, but no BGC started. I wonder why they started PAs BGC before SA, BIL, MED...
ECAS: After getting SA email, does Sponsorship Application Status changes from IP to DM? And, at what point does the Permanent Residence Application Status change from IP and to what?
Anyone? How did you get notified your biometrics were accepted? Thanks!Quick question: I see pretty much everyone gets "biometrics approved" the same day that they're given...is this an email? Does it really come the very same day?
It will be updated on your online account as completedAnyone? How did you get notified your biometrics were accepted? Thanks!
