Since it is obvious outlanders' applications are generally being slowed down because we are not yet in Canada, I have these 2 questions:

1. Will our PR application move forward if we enter Canada through Student or Work Permit?

2. Will the fact that we already have a PR application record with IRCC affect the sucess of a student or work permit application? Hope there is no risk of refusal of the PR or the student or work permit.

Anyone with ideas should please respond

I'm already in Canada as WP but mine still waiting and waiting.. Every case is different. The one who is getting DM possible their security cleared within week or month but the one is outland or came from outlands still have to go through full security before DM so only can do is just wait.

So today I got my GCMS notes. One interesting fact: it shows criminality passed. Background: on April 28th I called IRCC and the agent told me my criminality passed, that was confirmed by another agent on June 18th, but on July 28th another agent told that my criminality was still in progress! I told him that other agents confirmed it passed but he said that was incorrect. Now today my GCMS notes say criminality passed...
Seriously, do they know anything? It looks like IRCC is completely lost! GCMS notes also confirmed something to me: my application was stuck in Etobicoke (or still is) since April. The notes say its location is "reception". Now I am hoping that the change to "in process" a few days ago means that someone is actively working on it. I don't know if I laugh or I cry.
Well Remember your Background check will show different stages meaning when you submit they process Criminality check than if pass than you go through Eligibility check so before they process Eligibility/Security your criminality will go back to IN process from PASS than and also if security is the last stage before DM your background still show as In process or reviewing but when Final Decision come all Stages will shows as PASS. For more info check on GCMS where it will show stage by stage when pass or process.

Yeah your are absolutely right. Mine took 2 years now including the Provincial Nominee waiting time.
I can't do anything right now as i dont have an access through my accnt. I emailed my Lawyer last time and im not surprised as she said PR paperbased nowadays took 2 years to complete.
Even for them they can't do anything but to wait.
So you mean 2 years - from ircc's end.. ie. Post nomination from the respective province..

Oh that is so heart wrecking, one has to embrace hell lot of patience..

All in all it's almost 3 or above 3 years this paper based application takes to finally fructify.

Oh god! Such a lengthy journey...

I’m waiting for my DM since ADR submission on June 20th lol
All the steps including medicals and PAL were before that date :( Guess I’m unlucky one
Mine is similar timeline. In last adr, they also asked for date and place of last entry, current location, submitted on 7/7 and waiting ( vancouver local office). Please help to update if you have any good news. Good luck to all!

Normally few daysto get first portal email and second email anf then Pr card. It takes more than a month for whole process normally ( that’s what I learned from this forum)
You may want to follow this thread for more information! Good luck. I just got a Ghost update, hope I can get DM tomorrow too.
