January 2020 - citizenship application

My DM since July 13, passed the exam since May 2 yet still no update for the oath.

I know it’s probably a rhetorical question, but do you guys think people who got their DMs as of now will be able to complete the process till end of year?
I’m have DM since Aug 3 and feels like absolutely there’s absolutely no movement in the respective office..
It’s so frustrating to not have any specific timelines so we could at least plan our lives around. I have a trip planned end of year and start feeling like I’m not going to make it..
My sister got her US citizenship couple weeks ago despite applying almost 7 months later than me and having some additional documents requested in the process. I don’t understand why US can get it together and we can’t..

Haven't yet. But you don't need it to vote. You're in the system after the file is complete.

how many visited you have outside CanadaDuring eligibility period ?

i had a lot of travel outside Canada in the eligibility period - around 26 trips between March 2016 (landing) & January 2020 (application sent timeline)

Any applicants from Calgary who are waiting for a date for their Citizenship ceremony? I received “decision made” in first week of August 2021, and no updates since then. Citizenship ceremony still says “Not Started” after a month.

I am Calgary applicant, DM aug 25. Waiting foe oath still

I was thinking the same thing. Especially for me my background went complete in Jan 2021 so I’m worried when the one year mark comes around it may make my DM go back to in progress! But fingers crossed we both get oaths before the end the end of year

Jan 2020 - Application Submitted

March 2020 - AOR

September 2020 - In Process

October 2020 - Fingerprints request received.

December 2020 - Fingerprints Submitted

Jan 2021 - Background Verification Completed ( I only came to know about this when they launched new tracker something in May or June )

July 3rd 2021 : Citizenship test done

July 8th 2021 : Citizenship test marked as completed

August 10th 2021 : Passport Copies request received.

August 30th 2021 : Language, Probations and Physical Presence marked as completed. DM in ecas.

September 1st 2021 : Notification in tracker that oath is scheduled for 29th September

September 14th 2021 : Official email invitation received

Hi . I am waiting for OATH notification since from august July end .. Any one from Saskatchewan got OATH request ? during my 2nd video exam officer told me to accept OATH request after august 15.

Its a joke. I know every ones application is different. But it just seems sooo random how they process applications

I don't want to be mean but CIC should be smart to deal with the application.
I can assume the volume of application but still seems most of them are stupid.

I saw a December 2020 applicant been invited to take the oath. Someone else reported that even a Feb. 2021 applicant got their oath invite. So, yeah, IRCC has something else in mind than caring about us who applied earlier.
