Thank you for the quick reply! :D

Ok so I'm assuming at this point that Spain (my nationality) is a non Visa-free country so I'll have to send in my actual passport. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to get the passport back, more or less? I was hoping to visit and spend Xmas/NYE with my wife over in Canada but now that file transferred as happened it's a bit of an unknown as to when DM and PPR might drop. As far as I'm aware, AOR2 hasn't happened yet? Just file transfer to local VO...so I might still have a couple of months to go, but it sure would be awkward to get PPR like a week or two before flying out for Xmas.

Anyway, thanks again for all the help guys, much appreciated. :)
Actually being part of the European Union, Spain is a Visa-free (or visa-exempt) country. I've heard that applicants from the visa-exempt countries do not need to send in their passports and will only receive a COPR letter (which is issued for anyone regardless of their nationality). So you most likely only need to send a copy of your passport. You might want to double check this.
Answering your second question, it really depends on the visa office, but it usually takes from 3-4 days to two weeks to send the passport back.

I have a feeling that many January-to-March applicants who are still waiting will receive news this week or next; please share your stories such that we all can have a clue...

On our GCKey account, the timebar showing 10 weeks to the end of our processing has been removed since last night. I can no longer see it.
Has anybody experienced something similar?
