I have a feeling that many January-to-March applicants who are still waiting will receive news this week or next; please share your stories such that we all can have a clue...

Thanks,
Thanks! It's not really over yet. That request for a copy of passport is just additional document request but should be over soon. Biometrics appt. on Wed. 6th and then just wait for DM and PPR. It's definitely much closer and yes, it was not fun for awhile there. It took them 77 days to correct the name on my non-accompanying step daughter's medical request form and the doctor didn't want to do the test because he said it wasn't the same person! ... but we lived through it. Good luck to us all in November!!OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Such incredible news! You had so much stress with this I remember in the beginning and it is so nice that it is finally over! Congratulations!!! xxxx

Congrats!Hey everyone!
Another quick update - after my Biometrics were completed on October 21st my wife got notification of file transfer to the London VO last week, on the 31st, just in time for Halloween haha. As a January applicant my wife and I are so happy things are starting to move again now and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Like someone else mentioned here - it was super difficult for a while in those intervening months of limbo and no news between AOR1 and AOR2.
Quick question though - for PPR do you have to send in your actual passport (through the VAC to the VO) or is a photocopy sufficient for the request?
Also, I can't remember now but does PPR usually come before DM or after?
Alright that's technically two questions but I'd appreciate any info.
Here's hoping that those of us January-March applicants stuck on the slow road, we all get PPRs and DMs over the next month or two.
We're almost there folks, almost there. Keep the updates going everyone.
Thank you for the quick reply!Congrats!
You need to send your passport itself (at least I know that's the case for applicants from non Visa-free countries, as they need the passport to actually put the visa sticker on).
The PPR (USUALLY) comes after the DM. This can range from a few days to a few months (hopefully only a few days for you).
congrats duke transfer to where ?Hi all,
Yesterday we saw quite a bit of progress on our file!
There was a ghost update on GCkey early in the day and we later got pre-arrival letter. Applicant's status on ecas is also changed to decision made now. I guess we are getting very close to the end of this long journey!
This is our timeline:
Jan 2019: Applicant Received
Mid March 2019: AOR1
Late March 2019: Medical and Biometrics done
Mid Oct 2019: File Transfer and AOR2
Early Nov 2019: Pre-arrival and decision made
Wishing all the best for all of you who are still waiting...

Well.... not really. I've heard a lot of Tunisian cases that were delayed over a year, had to have interviews or they had to appeal but I am thankful for sure at how fast and smooth this was for us. Our case also had no "complications" like no age difference or divorces and we were together for 7 years with visits before marriage. But I wish it was the same for everyone. This process is not easy. xTunisianians get all the luck!
