Is it really necessary? I feel like they won’t give me any helpful info as it’s still in the 12 month time frame.
Its just a phone call they won't put you on black list bcoz of call. Try your luck, who knows you will get kind representative

Yeah free free to call them if it bothers you, it does look a little too slow compared to others.

Well another week gone by and still no news on file transfer or biometrics... I’m staying optimistic though! It’s been nearly a month since I have passed my medical.
It's been over a month for us since medical and background check. Hopefully they are working on it haha but still waiting for biometrics. Maybe it'll all come at once towards the end. But who knows? :')

Still on the same boat. Our biometric fees were paid upfront too and our file was transferred on the 19th of last month but no biometrics request yet. Getting pretty impatient at this point.

Our medical exam was also done April 3rd and it was just two days ago it can up passed on our account . So I’m sure it will be soon for you as well try not to stress . We were stressing and it just makes the waiting worse. Try to stay busy doing activities you like and don’t over think everything like I do lol

Waiting is so tough! Been a few weeks since medical, still no biometrics request or anything else. Feeling nervous about what all we submitted (or didn't) and hate being in limbo not knowing when we can move home (I am currently living in US with PA and our kid). So anxious to hear something!!!

Medical passed on 28 march . Still no news about file transfer or biometrics..
i have a representative.. will ircc answer my query by phone call ? Or will they only talk to my rep ?
Will update about my file transfer show on gckey or Ecas ? Is there a chance i dont get a email and my file is transferred to NDVO or CPC ?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this entire website. I commend you all on the support and help you've provided eachother with. I live in MTL, and I'm sponsoring my wife who lives in Iraq

My timeline is as follows:
App recieved: jan 14
AOR: mar 4
Request to pay biometrics fees: Mar 6 --> i did not pay it when i submitted the application in January.
Paid the biometrics fee: Mar 6
SA: Mar 7
Confirmation of biometrics fee reception: Mar 11
Transfer to visa office (Amman): Mar 19

Now, one little thing. We didn't recieve requests for medical examination or biometrics. If I understood well from what i read on this thread, almost all people had their medical exam and biometrics requested prior to their files being transferred to the VO.

Does anyone have information whether this is fine or it may be an issue? Or has anyone heard of people where the file was transferred prior to the requests?

As I understand it, IRCC will answer you, yes, but normally they will only tell you details about "your" part of the application (i.e. sponsor can ask about their part, PA about theirs).

No, the file transfer does not show up on GCKey or eCAS. It's only sent to you via email. If you have a representative I would assume it goes to them instead.

This is totally normal. It happens most often for VOs that take longer to process, as they don't want your medical results to expire before you can land. Either way, there is no strict order to when each request comes, so try not to compare yourself too much to others that way. If anything, your best bet is to compare yourself to other people going through the Amman VO. Also, welcome! :)

Thank you for your clarification! Much appreciated

I'm same as you brother. Don't worry for some countries, first they transfer the file to VAC then Biometric and/or Medical. For example I'm January too, our application was transferred before requesting Medical or Biometric and then on April 03, 2019 they sent us Biometric letter. Currently we're waiting for Medical. So it's normal, every case is different and it also depends on people who process the application. It's very daunting process but keep spirit high. Hope this helpful.
