My file received at Nova Scotia on 14th jan
. No reply till yet. I have done one big mistake that is I did esign on Imm008 instead of hand sign. So I m sure they will return my file but I got nothing. My next file is ready for resubmission. Any idea how long it will take them to return my file?

yes , unfortunately its a big mistake , in case you are lucky they could ask you to resubmit this form , but chances are very slim .

I think the first thing they check after opening a file is signature , if file has some missing signature they will return right away . Usually it takes 5-10 days to receive a file back from cic.

My wife did not get any Biometric request yet (i have included biometric fee). Our application is still in CPC- Sydney. I saw that many people got the biometric request first, then medical. Should this be because the forms were signed in Dec-2018 and sent in Dec, but reached only in Jan ? Should I be concerned about not receiving the biometric request ?

My ECAS Reads

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 3, 2019.
2. We sent you medical instructions on March 1, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us

My File-transferred email was addressed to Sponsor.

Biometric request and Medical request come in separate emails.

I know your biometric request is still not sent to you, but it can be any days before DM, no one knows, it doesn't mean you are declined, so don't panic.

What dates did you sign the application forms and when did you sent it ? I did mine in 2018 when Biometrics were not required for India. Maybe that is why we did not get the biometric requests. Anyway we can keep in touch and update statuses

My file was recieved on Jan 7 by the Visa office
Signing i did in December only ...
I called them also for same , they mentioned file in process in Sydney ... thats it

I honestly do not think there is anything to be worried now. Mostly we will be done without biometrics

Sorry, I have a slightly off topic question if anyone would know. What is the validity of COPR? Is it a random date or does it usually expire 1 year after the medical test?

Usually 1 year after medicals or till validity of passport whichever is earlier

Hey,

Temporary file number only means that they have file in progress but completeness of file has not been completed yet. Temporary file number starts with XF in the front and with final file number, they remove X.

The good thing about the temp file # is that you can use it to call the automated phone system to check for updates

How did you enter the PA info in ecas? Receipt number, last name, date of birth and country of origin?

yes that's what I used. gckey wont show me anything yet. I also cant get into ecas with my info yet either

Biometrics is mandatory now. You will be asked to pay for it and go for biometrics.. Even I filled up my forms in December, dated december, sent on 28th December, reached Sydney, NS 3rd Jan. I paid for biometrics as I saw i could pay for it along with my application.

But interstingly not recieved request yet.,..

Hello everyone. Here is my Situation.
Application Type : Family Class
Type: Outland application
Sponsor: Canadian Citizen living with Spouse outside canada
Application submission Date: 1st november 2018
Returned Application due to not signing the IMM008 ( Very disappointed where the form says clearly to print it. They need to say it in the form or else many people will do the same mistake)
Resubmit application : 2nd January 2019
now painful waiting starts till today no AOR.
My application submitted by a Immi. Consultant who is also a IRCC member.
Dont know what to do now....
