I had to stop checking multiple times per day, I’m slowing going crazy waiting... just have to be thankful it’s in process and that we have anywhere up to 5 more months to hear back....
Ours is 5 months left now also. It has been stuck at processing background check and we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements (I'm not sure exactly what the eligibility requirements are as I the sponsor have been approved) but our file has yet to be transferred.

Same with ours, it says reviewing eligibility but I got an email back in March that I was approved to sponsor my husband.... I hate the waiting game but it’s out of my control

From what I have noticed:

- It takes 2 months for AOR 1 and SA
- File transfers are done in 2-3 phases. In first phase a few files are transferred within a month after AOR 1. The second phase is around after 2-3 months of AOR 1. The last phase's timeline is around 5-7 months after AOR 1.
- If file has to be transferred to Mississauga it'll be transferred withing the first and second phase mostly.

So if it has been like 7-8 months without transfer since the application was received then hopefully you'll hear something soon. If it passes the 9th month mark then do try to call or order GCMS notes; before that time don't worry, there's no other option except to wait.

Usually background checks arent updated until the application is finished. It could have been finished long ago, but most peoples files just dont reflect that until the end, so dont worry, its not "stuck".
Also, eligibility is for the applicant, not the sponsor.

Can anyone tell me which person receives the email if the permanent residence is approved? Is it the applicant, sponsor or both? Thanks!

I believe it is the applicant that receives the email, however, if you have a representative or if you, the sponsor are the representative, you will be the one the hear. Good luck!

Take all you can for the interview. I don't see any harm in showing them sexual conversation because they'll be asking all sorts of questions about your personal life. Interviews can be stressful but it shouldn't be a problem as long as your relation is strong and you guys know everything about each other and have your future plans in order. I'm in the last stage of processing and pretty sure will get an interview myself.
Any red flags in the application? age gap or less proof of cohabitation, how long did you guys date for before getting married? All of these things matter when the visa officer decides to conduct an interview just so they can get more information before approving the application so certain red flags raise suspicion but you guys should be ready with all the documents and proof and your relation story to clear all concerns.
thanks so much for the reply, umm my laywer is kind of annoying, since we cannot afford to tr
I did interview on June 15 and waiting for the result within this week.
The most important in interview is to be confident ( not overconfident).
Since I did the interview, I have the following advices for anyone who is in this situation.

#Be calm and don't get nervous. (if you get nervous, you can't even answer simple question).

#When they asked you questions, don't be too smart (straightforward answers, don't give explanation unless they asked you to elaborate it. For example if they asked you about your job, don't try to sell yourself like job interview.

#Every Question is based on application forms (revise all forms before you go interview). But this don't mean that all questions are from forms. Based on your application and Visa officer, the questions differ from candidate to candidate.

#Don't lie⚠ . It's normal not to remember some dates or names etc. If you don't know, just say I'm sorry don't remember that date etc. But be advised not answer all questions or most of it with "I Don't know or I don't remember".

#If you have any red-flag, prepare yourself to address them properly.

Redflags can be significant age gap between spouses, (especially if wife is older than husband) or you visited each other a few times or not all before marriage took place.

#In some countries interview is normal, for submitting new documents or police certificates etc, so don't worry too much.
---------------------------------------
Relax and pray, don't stress too much. InshaAllah one day we will be united with our loved ones.
inshallah habibti good luck to you i hope everything goes the way you want it to go <3 im praying for everyone

You're allowed to show them everything but don't make it the center of attention. Also Recharge your phone take it with you, sometimes they ask for phone to see chats of (WhatsApp, IMO, Viber, Telegram etc).
that's a good idea. what else should I bring with you? do you mind elaborating
