Hey, Thank you very much for the information.
i got my Bc PNP and applied for PR on paper application before 2 months . Before 1 month I was sick and I had the symptoms of corona so I didn’t go for the work for 2 weeks consecutively. So as per the eligibility criteria I applied for CERB based on I didn’t work for 2 weeks consecutively because of symptoms. Then after 2 weeks I started working. Will they affect my PR application?

I am very worried .if someone can help me.
It will not affect your PR application.

I have a lawyer (a fairly reputed one - www.veemanlaw.com) and he mentioned that seeking government dole (CERB) while your application is in progress (and even after you get PR or citizenship if you want to sponsor your close relative in future) is not a good idea.
You will be viewed as someone who leans on government funding and will face issues in getting PR or citizenship or sponsoring relative.

CERB does not have anything to do with your PR application at all and nothing is being mentioned on CIC website.

Hey, Just tell your reputed laywer that CERB is not considered as finanacial assistance . It is a temporary fund relief due to COVID.
Read more on cic about financial assistance for Covid.

CERB is based on the EI you paid to government and they are going to take it back once u get a new job.
I don't think Pr application has anything to do with CERB.

I am not an expert to tell something to a lawyer.

To be sure, CERB may or may not be based on EI.
Also EI and CERB are two separate instruments. That EI is routed through CERB does not make it CERB alone.
And if you are getting paid based on EI you dont need to pay back to government. Thats like insurance you availed.
Vanilla CERB (not based on EI is a Gov dole and may have to be returned)

Thanks for clarification, so my spouse don't have to pay back since she is paid based EI she paid in last 52 weeks.

Thanks again!!

It was transferred on February 11, 2020.
Transfer reason: Eligibility

I'm confused, as my status is saying Eligibility is passed.

that does not make any Sense at all. may be it would be like "review required" for your eligibility and due to which may be they are re-checking it.

correct me if I am wrong.

I think so your application status is " Received" instead of " In process" right ?
