guys i just got the email for my test invitation, but i have 2 questions, first i moved to different city and i changed my address online but i stil got my invitation for my exam in same city, so if i email them now to change the location for my exam , do they take more time for the invitation again or they do it right away? and my second question is, my exam date and oath date is same that is 26 sept 2019 , my exam time is 8.30 am and my oath time is 10.30 am , it is normal or i should call cic about it ?

I called cic this morning and i was told i passed my background check and they are waiting for missisuaga office to send me a letter with the test date. Does anyone know how long it might take to get the test date? My application has been in process for 7months

i suggest not to change anythg otherwise you are going to wait alot. test and oath same day is very normal and it looks like they are doing it often.

which city are you from?

They issued same date for oath most probably because you changed the city and they considered it already. Requesting them to do it in your current city will delay your application at least few months. So, I think it's better if you can travel and do it in your old city and get it done.

Hi, Can you please update my information?

Test Invite Letter: August 12 2019
Test Interview Date> September 11 2019

Thanks,

I called cic this morning and i was told i passed my background check and they are waiting for missisuaga office to send me a letter with the test date. Does anyone know how long it might take to get the test date? My application has been in process for 7months

I was told my check was all clear after FP request ~May 23rd and haven't heard yet. 43% of people have test invites, time is 12 months and I wonder if that's from "In Process" in which case, I'm only 4.5 months in so even an average timescale might have me waiting until next April. And that's if we ignore that my application was non-routine due to FP which appears to be more like 20% of people.

When did you apply as you aren't on the January 2019 sheet.

Hamilton timeline ? Please
Application received :Jan 7th
AOR : March 12
In process : March 28th
No updates :-( :-(

Hey team,
this will be my final update, just received my oath letter today.
My oath ceremony will be on September 6th in Ottawa.

Thanks for tracking all of this, it has been very helpful.
Good luck to anyone still waiting, it can be a long process, stay patient.

@RguhDUDE @Ariel_M Congratulations! :)
@vidyasagar @jaberu Your records have been updated. Good luck.
@sipfarms I've only included the detail up to the test date. I'm not sure about the 'or..' part so I will wait till you give us the next update. Thank you for sharing and wishing you all the best in your test. :)

@pillow Decided to take the option of test, interview and oath in Vancouver on 29th Nov (assuming it's approved). Perhaps put test, interview & oath as 29th Nov and in the notes section add that option was given of test in Victoria on 24th Sept or test/interview/oath in Vancouver on 29th Nov just so others from Victoria are aware that an option was given.

For those applying from Victoria it seems they only do two trips a year - spring & fall. It appears if you do the test at one trip, your oath will be at the next trip. When I received the test invite, I was told that I may qualify for the option to attend the office in Vancouver to attend the test/interview and then attend a ceremony in the same day. Hence I chose to make the trip to Vancouver to get it over and done in one day.
