Hi i am planning to apply this week... i have a query regarding 12. b)
i have filed taxes since 2012 (the year i moved to canada on work permit). so for last 5 years should i say:
2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013
since we are only two weeks in to 2019 and havent filed tax for 2018 though eventually i would

You don't need to mention 2018. This was discussed in January 2018 - Citizenship Applications Forum.

Check response #25.

Please add me to the spreadsheet.

I am not sure if I should be in the January or Dec 2018 spreadsheet.
Thanks.

Hi i have a question my eligibility is jan 12-2014 to jan 12-2019, i moved to canada as a permanent resident on Nov 03-2014 do i have to fill residence outside of canada form( cit 0177) ?
Please advice thank you

I called IRCC regarding this matter and the agent said that no need for cit 0177 or PCC since you were not yet a PR and you were not yet in Canada during that time. The question on the form is very confusing. In my case is eligibility period January 2014 to January 2019. Moved to Canada September 2015

Hello,

How do we respond to filing taxes section? I have the similar timelines like yours.

Should we add 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. For 2014 both No, and for 2018 required to file 'Yes' and Did you file 'No'?

Thanks!

I haven't gotten the time to fill out the form yet but for 2018 probably required "yes". File "no". Or I might just omit 2018 since it's only 2nd week of January. For 2014 I would probably leave it out since not yet in Canada and not yet PR.

I think PCC is required. How they verify criminal history before you become PR? If you calculate the 1-year validity of your Canadian VISA and 3 years residency time it equates to 4 years. so They need to verify your background for 4 years irrespective when you got your PR

It is last five years, and 2018 has to be added. That's my understanding. For January 2019 applications, years should be 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

another question. my appl was sent in january but the Eligibility period is between 2013-2018. so for the taxes i need to put 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017. Correct. it is not logical to put 2018 since it will be submitted in 2019?

anyways,i strongly believe that it depends on the Eligibility Period provided in the physical calculator.
