please help me, my question is that my passport(non-Canadian) have expired, and it is impossible for me to renew it, as i don't have any ties back to my country, and I'm not traveling back nor I have time to left to do it online.
is it ok to provide my expired passport of my country on which I got the visa and came to Canada?

AFAIK, you don't have to have a valid passport to apply for citizenship. As long as you have a travel document - whether valid or expired, to should be okay.

Guys, I completed my citizneship test and interview a few days ago in Vancouver center. The officer asked me for translation of passport pages which I completed and brought back to that very center and gave to the "commissioner" there. He stamped the envelope and put it in a drawer and told me to "consider this received". Now how can I make sure he has not forgotten about and that he has actually passed them on to the officer?

Hi, I have a friend with the same case as you. They just wrote a letter of explanation why they didn’t renew their passports.

from check list and instruction guide I understood that following documents are enough
1. Passport copy
2. Health card copy
3. Birth certificate

Is anything else required ?? please help
Some people were mentioning about school record, is it required to attached with application or not ??

1) Is it ok If I put 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 in tax column, But in 2018 i marked "yes" required to file and "No" did not filed ( as I have still not received tax docs for year 2018). will it be ok?
2) Do I have to give PR and COPR and health card copies as well with passport copy?
3) Do I have to mention my name on back of photo?

Please advise.

Birth certificate is a must.

and with regard to personal id's. Passport and Health cards are enough. I sent the same for my children

1. Yes I did the same. Put YES - required to file and NO - did not file it
2. Why PR and COPR? no need to submit those docs. They never asked for those docs in application
3. Yes, you have to mention your name on the back of the photo.
