As per IRCC website it states that the average processing of a complete application package takes about 12 months...that is if there are no issues with the applicant's background check. Cheers.

Attended citizenship ceremony yesterday and today my ECAS status changed to Complete. I think I can apply for a passport already. Anyway my journey to canadian citizenship has ended. I wish everyone on this forum will experience the same feelings as I did yesterday. Best of luck to everyone!
Congrats!!!

Hi guys,
I got invited to take the test. My problem is, I dont have my pr card (stolen around 4 months ago) is that going to be an issue ?
I do have my landing papers (PR confirmation ) and all other required papers.

My personal advice from previous experiences abroad. If you really had it stolen, go to the police and make a report. Then take the police report to the exam with you.

I will definitely do that. The only issue is, I'm not sure if it states in the report that PR is stolen. It was inside my wallet and by that time I had lot of money stolen from my credit card. I'll definitely get a police report anyway.

We are advised before the test that all information is confidential and property of IRCC. Any disclosure may end up in court.

10 questions are baby easy
5 questions are more difficult but one read of the book should be enough. People with broad horizons may know answers without the book
The last 5 questions refer to a fact from the book. It may be a name, a date, a place. Just read the book 2, 3 times.

The exam is not made to fail anyone. It is to ensure people read the book.
In my exam I had to randomize 3 questions and I was 100% successful because questions are not tricky, no catches. All common sense
What is not an animal:

Potato
Mouse
Bear
Dog.

Tests available online are a good example of real test.
Thanks!

Actually, you must have already reported to IRCC that you lost your PR card and requested a new one. I think it costs $50.
But it's late to do so now. Since you may get the passport very soon, you may not want to request new PR card at this point. But still, call IRCC and inform.
Also, as someone suggested, take a police report the test/interview.

I have only had to file one stolen report with police before but I had to tell them everything stolen. You should definitely make sure PR card is explicitly defined.

And, as they can be very valuable in wrong hands, tell IRCC so they can cancel it!

I wonder why s/he (X for the 3rd gender) hasn't thought of reporting the lost PR card ASAP since it contains personal info that is relevant to a person's immigration status here in Canada like the UCI number is found on most PR card if I'm not mistaken. PR card in the hands of a malicious person is very much equals to stolen identity. UCI number + Last name + DOB + POB = IRCC access. No cheers for this.
