I am an inland CEC applicant, and i got a request.
Are you currently residing outside Canada /i.e. frequently travelling in and out? In that case they request, I think.
Then they also say that you can be asked if your files allocated some other centers outside Canada.
Similarly, they keep this option open that they can request all - No option but it is mandatory. It is initial phase and some are being waived I guess.

Uhh!....That is killing. I better forget i applied for PR else I will die of anxiety

I wish that could be an option but apparently, our brain is much smarter whether we believe it or not. It will remind you every time you eat, drink, shower or even breath.

This line is so true. I literally got an anxiety attack yesterday. But have to chill then, no choice :(

First of all thrilled to have you guys in this forum. I pray to god that you receive your PR very soon.

Summary :

I am a Permement resident of Canada and have been holding this status since Aug 10 2017.
I am a citizen of India and I married my girl friend (she is also an Indian) here in Canada during the early 2018 .
My wife did her Masters here in Canada and as of Sept 2018 completed her one year of work experience in Canada. Her current work permit(post graduate wp) is valid till end of this year.
So around October, I was looking to apply for her PR and I had two options for her
  • Apply under CEC category
  • Apply under spousal sponsorship
The deciding factor was the time to process the PR. With CEC option the PR will be processed in less than 7 months but with spousal sponsorship it could take minimum of 12 months. Since her WP will expire this year end and I don’t want to go through the hassle of applying a bridge open work permit, Thanks to her Master degree ,very decent IELTS score and 1 yr of Canadian work exp- yielded a score of 530. So I applied PR for my wife under CEC category.

Stream - CEC inland

AOR : Jan 27
MEP : March 9
BG - In progress : March 28

In conclusion, my situation is exactly like what rbisrakhia described (.i.e. I have applied for PR for my wife and following this thread for updates and just like rbisrakhia I will also share an update after wife’s PR processing is completed)

My humble request is - Just don’t jump to conclusions without knowing the circumstance of other individuals ;)
Thanks for summarizing it. I did not want to explain further. Its disappointing how people just jump to conclusion and start writing foolish stuff.
Still i would say best of luck to everyone.

Biometrics enrolled on 28 feb
Since then my biometrics have not been updated in EE profile. It still shows that my fingerprints are requirred. However, biometrics of my dependent spouse were uploaded the same day ie 28 feb. Anyone facing similar issue??
Hey I'm facing the same problem it's been over a month now and it's still not updated on my profile ..now the status is showing we have not received your fingerprints...did it updated on your profile or is it something to be worried about???

yes i also gave my biometric on 28 feb and it show your action is required in my profile. and moreover VAC exchange my ircc number with my husband and it shows my husband name as principal applicant instead of my name
HI did this problem resolve...I'm in the same situation..
